went there for dinner, service is nice but could not get a steak rare, had to sent it back twice, so bad that they gave us 50 % off

We only had breakfast here on our last day in the hotel - it was fairly priced in comparison to a lot of other local venues. $19 for the unimaginative but standard buffet including hot food and fruit and cold meats. You can also order a customer omelette.

We were struggling with food during all our trip in the US. We didn't have time unfortunately to go to town and pre-select a place to eat before heading to the airport and went to this place... This was probably the worst food I ever tasted - everything is just disgusting and unbeatable

What a nice surprise. We were starved after our nap, didn't feel like walking so we went to the hotel restaurant. Chicken Piccata, Bruschetta and Grilled Salmon all were amazing! And the margarita was wonderful too! Kudos to the Doubletree Santa Monica!

Visited this restaurant one evening while staying at the hotel. We were really tired one evening after a very busy day and could not face going out to find a restaurant. The food was just ok. Service was fine if a little disorganised. It was expensive for what it was and I would not choose to eat there ordinarily as... More

The Doubletree boasts a decent location and a nice ambience, but the ambience is not shared by the restaurant. The restaurant looks as if they ran out of money as they began to design the interior. It's a cavernous room and appears to have been slapped together for some one day event, and left as-is. The menu is uninspired and... More

We loved their breakfast but one night we got a modicum pizza and a salad and it came to $45. The quality of the pizza was questions but the salad was food.

We were staying in the hotel and had been to a number of local place to eat but on the last day tried the hotel restaurant called the 4th street Grill. It was clean and presentable, food was fresh and replenished regularly. Nothing special but nothing bad. Is a little above average for one person but this is due to... More

This is a chain hotel restaurant. I'm not sure they aspire to be much beyond acceptable. The included breakfast in some hotel rates is pretty good though.

It's nice that it's part of the hotel so as a guest I didn't have to go anywhere else. The first night we ordered a chicken caesar salad and a chicken strip kids meal. The food was very good. The second day I ordered the asian chicken salad and the chicken was definitely not fresh. It looked and tasted as... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
