Visited with a friend that had gone there before - food was excellent! Wish I could have had the burger twice :)

Visited on the advice of the 'entertainments officer' at the Shangri-La. It is a locals restaurant and was extremely busy at 18.30! you cannot book and the burger is the burger no choices and no ketchup. Having said that the food was excellent and a great atmosphere. A bit out of the way but worth the walk. You order at... More

Whoa. Those onions were delicious. And the burger was good too! If I drank beer I'd have been a lot more content. Huge beer list.

Yeah...that's a damn good burger. The Office Burger: A juicy, delicious and thick patty topped with carmelized onions, cheese, and fresh spinach (?) on a toasted roll. I wish it was bigger or double the patty. For a good $14, you could be feasting on one of LA's best burgers. Would I say it's THE best? It might be too... More

Stopped by for a quick drink.I was confronted by an amazing choice of beers,so hard to choose when you're a stranger and only have time for one. Atmosphere was a bit cliquey and beers pricey by UK standards.

My favourite place/bar in LA, the burgers are the best along with great range of beers on tap, its small and packs out so a wait is sometimes required, once inside stand/sit anywhere space allows. Bar staff great. Try you won't be disappointed.

You can actually get a rare or medium rare burger here made with very high quality meat, cheese, and veggies. Always busy, expect a line to order. Seating is also limited so go for the burger, not for a fancy sit down quiet meal. It is also a popular bar afterall.

Burger really good. And I eat a lot of burgers. We also ordered the sweet potato fries which were excellent. But like others I also take issue with the no ketchup rule. I am fine with them thinking ketchup ruins the burger or whatever their philosophy is but I actually order fries as a vehicle for ketchup. I LOVE ketchup.... More

Yummy burger! Make sure to add the fries! Be prepared for a bar atmosphere with counter service. Good experience.

Read my nearly 150 reviews. I very rarely rip a restaurant. So I read all of the reviews as to how great this place's burger was, and was just down the street, so we decided to give it a try. When you arrive, they card everyone, which is really Checkpoint Charlie to just advise you that they down have wait... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
