We tried going to the Santa Monica location in late September and found an EMPTY location. There was no note on the door saying they had moved or closed. This used to be an excellent restaurant but apparently the high cost of rent in Santa Monica has once again caused a closure.

The Italian restaurant my friend wanted to take me to had closed, like shut down! Then she remembered Spumoni. We sat outside as the night was quite lovely. The service was excellent, the host delightful and our meal easy and relaxing. We were not rushed at all. We started with the antipasto plate that was filled with goodness. We didn't... More

There were six of us and we had 5 different dishes. Everything was superb. The place is a little small, but comfortable. The wait staff is very good and extremely accommodating. Will definitely visit again...and soon.

Been here three times for dinner and always consistent Italian classics. Generous portions, friendly service, and well prepared dishes. I've had the Eggplant Parm, Lasagna, and Veal, and I would order all of them again. Solid and consistently good Italian food in a neighborhood setting.

My fiancé and I were staying nearby Montana Street where we just happened to stroll into this fantastic little restaurant where we returned again the same week. There are a few tables outside where we ate both times. My fiancé and I are crazy for anything in lemon caper sauce so we had to each have a dish, I had... More

My wife and I visited Spumoni's for the second time in a year. A small restaurant with the best gnocchi ever. The bread is so delicious and the tiramisu is decadent. The owner is the nicest person and oversees all meals being served and comes over to all tables to interact with the diners. Excellent experience.

Loved our visit to Spumoni. We stayed in Santa Monica at an Air Bnb apartment and was recommended this restaurant by our hosts. We were very glad!! Loved everything we had - bruschetta and meatballs for starters, and prosciutto pizza and lasagne for mains. I must say Italian is my favourite food and I eat it a lot and in... More

Well worth a visit, great pasta and pizza, very reasonably priced and a short walk from the beach. Try the gnocchi!

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
