I love my Indian Food, and when we are in SM, we do tend to have a meal here, if we are in a curry mood. The food is reasonably priced, the clientele "Interesting" - movie moguls with their "Nephews", former Diva's with their "Nephews"....More
I am a foodie... and Indian is one of my very favorites. When I found this place years ago, although it was 5 hours from my home, I made it a point to eat where whenever I was near (and force my friends and family...More
Visited in new years eve, around 9pm. The ambience is quite basic but welcoming. We were seated and served quickly. The food arrived even quicker, too quick to have been cooked to order. Nevertheless it tasted good, just wasn't top quality. Overall we had a...More
I was excited for some good Indian food but when I walked in and saw we were the only people on a weekend night. The decor was nice but the service terrible. The food was over priced, small portions and limited drink menu. Do not...More
Stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. So glad we did! While the service isn't 5 star it certainly wasn't poor. We are over here on holidays from Australia, and being the first Indian restaurant we've visited over here, we're not sure if it is usually...More
Never been to an Indian restaurant that doesn't include the rice with the entree AND serves minute rice instead of Basmati rice when it IS ordered!
Each of our three entrees was skimpy. Service wasn't good. This made for the feeling of being ripped off.
What can I say: we only ate there because there was a 45 minute wait at every other restaurant in Santa Monica.
The food was overpriced and very skimpy. The service was non existent. We had to ask for rice ( not included)
This place is horrible. It demonstrates what happens when greed overcomes skill in the restaurant business. The portions are insultingly small, about the size of your palm. The rice is, too. We ordered chicken curry, vegetable curry and naan. Our friends ordered lamb curry and...More
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller
coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
