As a non-meat eater but lover of sandwiches, the club sandwich was the holy grail. Delicious, filling without being leaden made this a really good meal. The ambience and service made it great. The bacon texture brought it to exceptional. It wasn't cheap, but it was the best sandwich I've had in years...

I can not get enough of RFD. We were recently in LA and I ate here every day. I love the brunch. I love this cafe so much that I purchased their cookbook. You can't go wrong with any of their dishes, but it's going to cost you cause this place ain't cheap.

Came here for dinner. Had jackfruit tacos (I believe was a special) and a brownie bowl for dessert...both were delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely return when back in the area.

This place is cozy, clean, and they have a spectacular, vegan chocolate brownie that is large enough for two people.

Great vegan food in a busy part of Santa Monica place was very busy but service was great and food well priced. I recommend the jackfruit tacos or if you having brunch the no huevos rancheros.

Fresh tasty nutritionally balanced food. Consistently well-prepared meals you can count on to be delicious and satisfying. I return here year after year for their "Real Meal" of brown rice, legume, pickled, fresh steamed, sea vegetables with choice of dressing.

We have been here a number of times and always love our food. Our guests have not always been quite as enthusiastic. Our tip - don't order the food that is 'faux' something else - e.g. tuna - although the lasagna was delicious.

Doesn't leave lasting impression. A little pricey for what it is. But it is healthy. Is catered to healthy alternatives and macro-biotic options. Low fat and I recommend this place. They also have one on La Cienega near Hollywood.

We had breakfast there. I had the avo/scramble and loved it. We really enjoyed all the different choices. I'm a vegetarian and had a hard time deciding what I wanted as the menu was great. My friends had the waffles and could barely finish it all. I will be back to try more items on menu that look good.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
