We had two parties totalling 16, which they were very accommodating to combine on one long table with some additional tables on the end. We were in luck as it was a very slow Monday night--any other night would have been a no go. Very casual atmosphere right on the beach. Food and beverages were all good, but I learned... More

I've eaten here twice and will be back - the food is excellent and the views are perfect. I recommend the Heat of Passion cocktail if you like spicy, and the ricotta ravioli with fresh cherry tomatoes, garlic, and basil was fresh and delicious.

We stopped in for lunch while we were exploring the beach walk and shopping in Santa Monica, and were very pleased that we did. We had a 20 minute wait, which was fine. My friends opted for soup (Chowder) and sandwich (Tuna) choices, which they loved. I wasn't that hungry, and was tempted by the beautiful looking cakes on display... More

Coast was delightfully quiet and calm, but active enough to be interesting. It is somewhat overpriced (e. g. to get bread you have to pay $5 and a glass of wine starts at $14) but my wife's swordfish was probably the best swordfish I have ever tasted. The whole meal, with roasted eggplant, was superb. My ahi tuna Nicoise was... More

The best Lobster Roll I have had in a long time......thank you Dylan for nudging me to order it! Relaxing atmosphere with dining inside or on the patio. Wonderful Santa Monica beach right outside for door for the after lunch stroll. Can't wait to return!

Followed a recommendation by the Fairmont Miramar hotel concierge and went here for breakfast. It was just breathtaking. Gorgeous views out on Santa Monica beach as well as gentle breezes to cool an otherwise warm day. The lattes hit the spot as did the benedictine eggs. A great start to a day in this very intimate yet elegant setting.

The menu, organic ingredients, service, decor are all faultless & the location & view make it special. Expensive? Yes, Sometimes have to wait? Yes, but like all the best things in life, you have to understand both of those go with the territory of being the best.

The restaurant has a prime location looking right onto the beach and the decor is wonderful. The service and food were both good. However, in my eyes, the food is horrendously overpriced, especially by European standards. I wouldn't have minded paying ~$35 a head for a breakfast which was really something special and/or different but regrettably the food was not... More

Love this restaurant. One of our favorites for breakfast. More affordable and more options that brunch upstairs at One Pico yet still classy and delicious. Inside or outside, you feel so close to the beach, you can feel your body relax as if you're on vacation. We even had a lovely, quiet Christmas dinner there one year. The only downside... More

Beautiful view of ocean and incredibly attentive and professional wait staff! Multiple non dairy options for coffee creamer for those who are lactose intolerant. Corned beef hash made fresh daily!

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
