I have been a fan of the owners for years, watching their food-network show. I wanted to give it 5 stars, but my initial impression was that the dark carpeted floor was really dirty. It was obvious that lots of things had dropped, and just need a good vacuuming .... Initial impressions are sometimes hard to forget. The waitstaff was... More

I had been waiting to go here for quite awhile, always hearing good things about Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feiger, it did not disappoint. Edouardo recommended the tacos and they were delicious, do not miss the guacamole or the churro tots for dessert.

I was surprised that I was able to get a reservation for lunch on Father's Day the same dayno less and even more surprised when there were only about 30-35 diners and maybe 5 at the bar. I remember this place to be hard to get a table but then after sitting down I realized why. The service has gotten... More

Wait staff were good but the message didn't get through to the kitchen - my pet phobia is being treated like a McDonald's diner. Had barely had a couple of bites of my appetiser when somebody proudly put another plate on my table - asked what is that and they beamed saying "that is your entree" This person didn't have... Unlimited tapas, really great to share. I can't think of one that I didn't like! The room is bold and very modern, the food matches it nicely. Really great margaritas too. Favorites we enjoyed for brunch: Peruvian ceviche, chili relleno, waffles & pork belly, Yucatan egg benedict sliders. I'm not a big fan of sweet, but the churro tots were... More

The problem with reviewing restaurants such as this is one's opinion can be flavored by reading reviews in advance. As such, I had to seriously question my own 3 star rating. Solo lunch just enjoying a rare weekend off and decided to people watch on the Santa Monica 3rd street Promenade. Quick scan on TA and I succumbed to the... More

Ridiculously overpriced, and not very good. Rice was undercooked, soup was awful abd desert was average.

Had a fantastic meal from this place. We did takeout since we were staying at a nearby hotel. There were plenty of gluten free options. It was a 6 block walk back to the hotel with our meals, and the food was still piping hot when we arrived. Will eat from this place again if in the area.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
