This is a small, local Italian restaurant that serves authentic Italian food. We've enjoyed everything we've ever ordered. There is a good fish that they import straight from Italy that is delicious. I often order the saltimbocca that is prepared the Roman way. It's hard to find it in most Italian restaurants prepared without cheese. The restaurant is pricey, but... More

This is the kind of unusual Italian fine sinking one would drive an hour or so to experience. We had the fish special, rack of lamb, and daily pasta special amobg our party of three. Excellent freshness and preparation for all. The place is small and home and hard to spot mid-block in downtown Santa Monica. Fee parking in the... More

I live very close to this restaurant and have recently started eating here. It is a small cozy place with nice atmosphere. The food is good and the servers are very nice and attentive, however the owner sometimes has attitude. I just came from there and although we enjoyed our meal, mine lovely ravioli, I was quite annoyed at the... More

We were staying at the Huntley Hotel and found this local gem. It is a lovely neighborhood restaurant and when we where there a lot of local patrons. I would recommend making reservations as the place is very small. The owner was wonderful and attentive. Our food was excellent, with great bread and a nice wine list. We really enjoyed... More

This is a tiny little restaurant that makes you feel as if you are in Europe. Food is good, ambiance is great, owner is very attentive, and it seems to be pretty popular with locals. Highly recommend.

Best Italian food I've had in a long time, in a small 10 table restaurant. It's not fancy inside but the food is the star. Everything we ordered was delicious. It's a mix of old and new with white linen table cloths with paper place mats. Menu is the old fashioned laminated book, and printed in both Italian and English,... More

We are visiting family and decided to have a date night. We love Italian food. Small quaint, very clean. Our waiter, Osvaldo, was exceptionally helpful. He was talkative and helped my husband practice his Spanish. The food was tasty, fresh and plentiful. I couldn't resist dessert, A cherry tart ! all in all a great experience and will go back... I've dined here a handful of times over the years, and Chef Vincenzo still delights with his Amalfi-based cuisine. It's a very small place which holds about 20 people (with the occasional celebrity sighting), so make a reservation to ensure seating during the dinner hour. If the chef / owner is not too busy, he comes out of the kitchen... More

Great neighborhood place away from the Santa Monica fray. Vincenzo is a fantastic host, warm and welcoming and happy to give recommendations. He was excited to tell us his wife had just dropped off a fresh supply of home grown organic tomatoes that we would find in the heirloom salad that night. We were not disappointed, the food was fantastic;... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
