I absolutely love this restaurant, I was here on Friday with my family and had the red snapper which was to die for. Literally the best meal I have ever had. Superb waitress too who really guided me in my menu choice. We had an incredible view of the Pacific Ocean and wish we were still in Santa Monica dining... More

This small restaurant, situated just above the Santa Monica Pier, is a lovely place to grab a cocktail, spend a happy hour or indulge in a full meal. The view of the pier's amusements and the Santa Monica Bay is lovely, even at night. The thoughtful menu is well-prepared, featuring an array of seafood and other options. Everything my group... Great location. This reminded me of so many other places found across the US that people flock to for special occasions due to the location, but the food and service isn't remarkable. The appetizers, main courses, and desserts my business group had were good, but no one was raving about any of it. They clearly handle a lot of volume... More

Had a good dinner. I had the crab cakes and asparagus and husband (not a fish lover but humored me) has a steak which was very tender. Service was slow as it was busy and waiter was spread thin. Way to go may be sharing the lobster as saw many tables doing that.

Booked via open table for late lunch before catching a flight. The crab was delicious. Views of the coast line spectacular. Our server Marcel was attentive and helpful. Just a shame about the pretentious front of house staff. Otherwise the venue is perfect.

Situated at the entrance to the pier this is a popular place to eat but having not made any arrangements for dinner one evening on our visit ti Santa Monica we tried to get in. We were told there was a minimum 45 minute wait for a table but that we could have a drink at the bar while we... More

The Lobster is a hidden gem sitting right on the Pacific Ocean. The lobster is, of course, their specialty but all the other food is first quality and well prepared. A great place for a romantic evening. Parking is very limited so always use the valet.

We visited The Lobster on recommendation from TA and it was a fantastic lunch. The best crab cakes I think I've ever had and we also had a lobster roll and a couple local beers which were great. The view was nice but I kinda missed having an option to dine outside. Service was great.

What a beautiful setting. Our waiter Nate was great at what he does and took great care of us. I also whitnesswd the manager and other waiters interacting with numerous tables as well as ours. Great wine list. The food was cooked to perfection. What a fun date night. I imagine a wonderful place for lunch just off the pier... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
