While driving around we finally came across this place. This restaurant is very clean and welcoming. Food was served fast and the quality was decent.

Service is excellent; seating is comfortable and the food - usually season and Farmers Market-fresh - is excellent. We've eaten here many times, and the menu, though seasonally refreshed, has gotten stale for us. Too many of the meat dishes are rich and heave, though many like that. For hat it is, prices have always been high and seemed to... More

Chef owned and run. Game meats and farmers market produce are specialties. Quiet and comfortable. Not cheap, but reasonable when compared to the alternatives.

I had a nice meal here but not a great meal. Very pricey for what they are serving. A somewhat limited menu. The atmosphere is very attractive and comfortable. Wine by the glass was kind of limited and somewhat pricey. The waiter was capable but not very engaging. All in all, it was a pleasant evening, with good food but... More

Don't get me wrong; it's a nice and charming restaurant (not in downtown santa monica), had a good service, wine was good, but food was, in my opinion, kind of normal. I'm a foodie and I love to try new places and Ive been to EXCELLENT restaurants. I found it pretty normal. I mean, it was good!! But not excellent.... More

We had a nice quiet evening at this restaurant. Nice decor and good service. Food was ok but not great which is what you would expect at $100 a person ( salad, main meal and a drink). I am glad to have tried it out but likely not again. The best part of the meal was the sweet potato fries.

One of my favorites. Always an imaginative well thought out menu with a good wine list. I have been here many times and have never been disappointed.

Excellent food. Excellent service. This little restaurant on the corner of Pico in Santa Monica is a treasure. Not a lot of seating, so it is a cozy atmosphere. Very close to the hotels on the beach in Santa Monica. We had problems getting reservations at our beach hotel/resort that we stayed at, so we had the driver take us... More

We had been recommended by local foodie. It didnt start well, after being seated we were left for 5 minutes without water, menus etc while 4 staff stood at the kitchen bench chatting with their backs to the restaurant. This was a common practice throughout the meal. Staff were either out of the restaurant or talking at the kitchen bench.... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
