Meh ... I really wanted to have a great experience here after my beach walk with my friend. We arrived at 9:30am and chose to sit outside (former sidewalk) . Service was -minus 1 star. Coffee is $6 for a regular black coffee. I ordered...the Eggs Rancheros which arrived 30 minutes later and everything was cold. I didn't alert the staff because I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes. I was so hungry so I just ate it. My friend ordered an omelet, spinach and feta which was just okay. However my friend told me their burgers, fries and pies are good! If you want to sit on Arnold Schwarzenegger's chair, sit inside. His chair is called There Terminator Chair. I never want to come back here again. The quality of our breakfast was less than a Denny's. My Rancheros cost $20. My friend's omelet was $18. They have valet parking, but since we walked, I don't know the cost of the valet.More

Awesome service, great food I finally stopped at Patrick’s roadhouse after driving by it for so many years. I’ll be going back again soon. Fantastic food. Whimsical facility. Great service. Ask for Chris. She’s the best. If I could get 50 stars I would.

You’re cruising PCH between Malibu and Santa Monica. You’re in the beach groove. There’s Patrick’s and it looks so grungy that it’s got to be great! But no. Burgers are dried out and tasteless.l Despite how funky cool this place looks, just keep on drivin’....Just a flatcar of sadness.More

I've been living in the neighborhood since 2012 and have eaten at Patrick's dozens of times over the years. I am sad to say that the quality of the food and service are at a 20-year low. The place is basically a dump with junk...strewn about everywhere. I was there earlier this week and when I politely spoke to the manager, she went off and berated me when I pointed out some flaws with the food and service. I don't expect a perfect or even a great experience all the time, but when have legitimate grievances and get an earful in return, it's time to speak up. My eggs were so overcooked, they were crispy; not exactly what you want when you order scrambled medium. I literally begged for a refill of my coffee, which when it finally arrived was warm. There was no soap in the bathroom, not exactly reassuring when you see the cook walking out...More

Stopped in to grab a snack (patty melt) and stayed for the apple cream pie. If that sounds delicious, it's because IT IS!

This place was just what the doctor ordered after a week of foo-foo food and restaurants. Good old grub with a super friendly staff and good prices. GO!

We saw this restaurant featured on Guy’s Drivers, Dine Ins and Dives on the Food Network. It was everything and more. The place was quirky and fun. The staff was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about their menu as well as the favorites. The burgers...are to die for!! Wish we could have gone back to try the breakfast If you are in the Santa Monica area this place is a mustMore

The owner and staff are terrific. The food is good and so is the atmosphere. I love staying in the unique motel rooms upstairs that I have rented twice and will again.

The owner is a complete lying crook. I would never eat at his just ok establishment or rent a room from his shady upstairs “apartments”. He’s the trash California is made of. Your father is rolling in his grave.

The three stars are for the food but the servers get five stars. We ordered the Hawaiian Impossible burger with garlic fries. The burger was average and the fries were limp and not crispy. They don't serve any alcohol but they allow you to buy...your drinks across the street and bring them back to your table.More

No complaints. Great way to start the day. Good coffee not that watered down stuff. $$$$ Basic menu comes with lots of add ons. Like Garlic hash browns $4 with breakfast. Once is enough.

As a child many years ago, I would go to Patrick's for breakfast or lunch with my dad: I recently made the mistake of taking my wife and children to Patrick's while on holiday in Los Angeles. The atmosphere is what it is: a blend...of Ahnold, the beach, movies, Santa Monica and LA history and collector eclectic: whilst perhaps "neat" for non-residents, the simply awful food that took close to an hour to arrive ruins any opportunity for a fun meal. The service (or better said, the team serving) were great and hugely apologetic that the food had clearly hit LA traffic between the kitchen and our table...but, not worth the hour + of my life I can't get back. Finally, Patrick's is a diner but it ain't necessarily diner pricing - will be another 40 years before I go back.More

A fun place packed with stuff collected over the 46 years it has been in business. Patrick's founder, the late Bill Fischler, was a charismatic, adorable hoarder, infamous for ejecting grumpy customers. Bill's son, Anthony, continues the family tradition, but fortunately the grumpy customer ejection...policy has been mellowed out. Moreover, there is no reason to be grumpy at Patrick's. The food is great, portions huge, service is excellent, location is outstanding, right across from the PCH and the beach. Anthony deserves a lot of credit for keeping Patrick's in the family. Running a restaurant is an awful lot of work, and it is way more complicated than his father's era. Kudos to Anthony and the Fischler family.More

Worth a visit for the good food as well as the people watching. Extensive breakfast and lunch menu with a dozen different very good burger options. Friendly service let’s you take a break from the beach to refuel. Not cheap but worth the trip.
