A Mediterranean tapas restaurant, this cozy place has amazingly good food across the board. Mouthwatering delights abound, and just have you asking for more. I was so surprised to stumble upon this find on Santa Monica Boulevard as we tried to find a place to eat, later in the evening. The ambience is lively, but romantic. The tables are a... More

Being from Australia this restaurant most closely reminded me of back home- the restaurant itself isn't huge you do need to book which you can do online. I love sharing plates as you get to try more things. We tried the octopus skewers and dumplings (pics below). Octopus was so tender and my husband loved the oxtail dumplings. We shared... More

We ate here recently after a big day sightseeing and being hungry and tired. The service first if all was superb and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the Wontons, the Lamb Rack, the Cauliflower and the Sweet Potato plus the Toffee dessert. A must go to.

Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Santa Monica. The lemon ricotta gnocchi was delicious as was the carbonara. The menu is set up for tapas style/family style sharing and I thought the portion sizes were perfect for this approach. The sticky toffee pudding was very good too. They have a nice wine list with some good by the glass... More

The food here was inspiring, delicious, different yet had a taste of home that I can't define. The variety was amazing, the service excellent, the vibe fantastic. You'll definitely need reservations, because there's a stampede of people waiting to get in even before the restaurant opens. You may be able to get in a bit easier later at night. Dress... More

The only tables available on short notice were at opening - 5:30 a 5:45. No matter, we had to be in Santa Monica at 4:30. Luckily, we got a table in the open air patio in back, which is slightly quieter, and not claustrophobic. We were aware from reviews that the food is amazing but the service could be a... More

My wife Katherine and I had an amazing meal tonight. EVERYTHING we had was fantastic. Most importantly, the people working there made great food and wine, one of our best meals of 2016. Thank you Chris (wine) and Bree. See you soon.

…from Piedmont - tar and roses - this is indeed a red wine restaurant, though by no means epichoric to northern Italy. They have a decent list of whites, but the rich, earthy food, strongly flavoured, is predicated on red wines. Our knowledgeable waiter was rather too enthusiastic in extolling many of the dishes which is an irritating habit when... More

5 good eaters who went through many dishes enjoying the diversity of flavors. Had to order doubles of some dishes because wouldn't add one additional(charge us but do not force us to order two) if you promote sharing make it easy to share Wine list does not justify limiting parties to two bottles

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
