The tapas menu was delicious - we had bone marrow, blue crab toast points, lemon ricotta gnocchi (husband really loved this - fresh & tasty), roasted carrots, cheese/prosciutto board. They have a nice beer selection, both on tap/bottles. Didn't have any wine, but the selection looked plentiful. We didn't have enough room for dessert, but selection looked great. Price was... More

Definitely a popular restaurant and I can understand why. Four of us had dinner here on a recent Friday night. The restaurant was full when we got there, and when we left. There is this odd little area at the front where they want you to wait until your table is ready but my husband felt too claustrophobic (LOL) so... More

This place is a place for good food that most everyone in your party will enjoy. Didn't have a bad dish but I think the price is a bit too pricey for what you get. The portions are small and meant for sharing. However, it's really a bit too little food. Tasty though.

We stopped here in October for a drink and some appetizers as we ate our way around Santa Monica and Brentwood areas. Service was prompt and friendly. We shared a coupe appetizers as we we're having entrees at another restaurant..trying to squeeze in as many places as possible on a wknd trip. I don't recall what exactly we ate, some... More

My friend and i both love small plates, and this is a wonderful departure from Spanish tapas, not that the re is anything wrong with that. The bone marrow was yummy, octopus tender which is no mean feat. Duck breast was lovely, but the corn cake was more of a muffin than a souffle. Service was wonderful. Our inside outside... More

This is the second time I've eaten here while visiting the LA area and I can't wait to come back. This is one of the best meals I've ever eaten. Ever. Small plates allow you try several dishes and since there were four of us we sampled seven. The unanimous favorite was the lemon risotto that was served as a... More

An LA experience not to be missed: food is excellent, original with a twist but not pretentious as it can sometimes be in LA; the wine list offers a good selection with affordable prices; the service is professionnal and nice;

I had been looking forward to dining at T&R for a long times, but it was impossible to get a table without booking weeks in advance. Finally I booked well ahead of time to ensure a seat and I went with eager anticipation. Upon arrival my date and i were seated in the far back in a room that reminded... More

This restaurant was very busy with good vibes of being one of the in places to be. We hadn't booked but they found us seats at the bar were we were looked after very well by a very polite and capable bar person. The food was very good and the service was quick without being rushed. It was on expensive... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
