We had no reservation when we arrived so had approx an hour of a wait but was well worth it. Our waitress encouraged us to pick a few dishes and share, which was the best idea. Salads were really fresh, pizzas were the "best ever " according to our kids and pasta was all home made and delicious. Kids and... More

The food was great and so was the service. With one exception. We put a reservation on a chocolate chip cookie before we were seated. At the end of our meal, we were told that it was gone. After a great meal, disappointment. That's not how you want to end a great experience.

I LOVE this restaurant! It is one of my favorite places to eat in Santa Monica. Everything I have had here is fresh and delicious. Their pastas are all fresh and made in house and some are very simple but incredibly good because of the quality of their ingredients. I highly recommend the peach and burratta salad - one of... Wonderfully inventive Italian cafe specializing in small plates. The chicken meatballs are superb, as are the pizzas and pastas.

Must arrive early or a long wait - we had amazing cauliflower - it was a special - along with the mushroom pizza - beware: they won't let you add ingredients but pizza was great; salads looked great but we saved those for next time.

It's the Wandering Yank here. Mrs. Yank and I were in LA recently and our daughter recommended Milo + Olive, not that she had been there but she had heard it was good. 4 of us arrived with reservations early on a Friday evening. Chairs are tall for the high tables, comfortable enough for us but not for everyone. The... More

Stopped here for dinner with some colleagues and had a fantastic meal. We had the tagliarini bolognese, which was one of the best bolognese that I have had in a long time. We also had the roasted potato pizza with rosemary cream, caramelized onion and parmesan, which was also delicious. I didn't care of the pork belly sausage and kale... More

Perfect, perfect pizza. Very relaxed setting, we sat at a table with two other groups, but still felt quite private. The service is fast and it's not stuffy. Very friendly and the pizza was amazing. Affordable. Highly recommended!

Last night a friend and I decided to try Milo & Olive. I had heard many good things about it but never venured out from my "go to" Italian Favs in LA. THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING! The food, service and the wine list were on point. Had the best pound cake for dessert. You have to order the garlic bread... More

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
