We sat outside on the patio which was very pleasant. The street was not too busy, just locals coming and going from the beach and their daily lives. Bikes, families. Noisier inside due to the music they were playing. My meal was delicious, healthy and pretty to look at. Salmon filet atop a bed of black rice mixed with quinoa,... More

Had dinner here and no complaints. Service is good, the prices are really reasonable and the quality is excellent. We had the salmon, the chicken salad and a steak and it was all top notch and served by friendly, professional staff. Highly recommend this place if you're staying nearby.

We had a nice dinner there. The menu is small but offers different cuisine choices. I had corn fritters and a Cobb salad. Both were delicious. Our waiter was great. He offered us tastes of different wines before we made a choice. That was really nice and enabled us to make a more enjoyable selection. There is an attached parking... More

Food was good - burger circa $14, Cobb Salad circa $10. Kids menu options included Mac cheese, quesadilla, grilled cheese. Set a couple of blocks back from the beech - Service impeccable.

Food was good in general, i liked the salmon. Ok burger, service was so so because it was full and you had to wave to them. Its a nice family place for a sunday evening. Dont expect miracles.

Food was mediocre- we ordered off the happy hour menu. Burgers were warm, I asked for no dressing and it came with dressing and the side salad had no veggies in except greens. Atmosphere was nice as well as the waitress.

It had been a long day of visiting LA, and we where looking for a restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the pier and the long lines of the tourists traps. We found M Street Kitchen off of Main Street couple blocks of of Pico. Nice neighborhood with no madness. Typical American classic's and kids menu. Try the... More

Great place! My kids where fascinated with the looks of the waiters and waitresses, very SoCal relax beach look. The food is great and the muffins are served freshly made all the time.

We leave near M Street and frequent it often. While the menu is not extensive, everyone on the menu is delicious and reasonably priced. Best called California cuisine. The real bargain is happy hour...the food is great, from tacos and nachos to mini burgers, etc., and the prices are a great deal. Also try their sangria--either red or white--both are... More

We visited M Street Kitchen on our quest to find the best burger in Santa Monica. We weren't disappointed. A great burger and definitely in our top three for Santa Monica! A great happy hour, super service. We visited on a second occasion for dinner and there was a buzzy social atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting.

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
