A small place that can be hard to get in during peak hours, it offers good service, a fast pace and "cool' vibe, and really good, fresh, high quality and well prepared food. That says it all. A seafood place that you don't have to think about and can just go and know that you'll be happy. Staff is well... More

Great location on Ocean Blvd. The service was very good and the server was very attentive and efficient. Had the fried seafood plate, lobster tacos and a side of Mac and cheese. Their fresh oysters are also a great option.

Had lunch here after a visit to the pier. Great place for getting out of the sun. Food was ok. Lobster mac and cheese is recommend, so is the ahi tacos and clam chowder. Pricey though so pick your dishes carefully. Go only if you are visiting the area.

Had a selection of West coast oysters. Super fresh and a wide variety to choose from. Tuna starter was also great. Would definitely go again for a great seafood experience. We sat outside. It is informal and not the most comfortable setting (wooden benches), but blankets and heating provided. Is also dog friendly for those travelling with pets. Service was... More

Friendly, efficient service; had lobster roll on server's recommendation; well worth it. First time I had raw oysters; had to ask how to eat them. Delicious.

Two of us went here a few days ago and it was a real treat to have such a great meal with very friendly service. The place was buzzing and busy but it didn't reflect in the service which was excellent.

I would have preferred that my fried oysters to be cooked a little longer. Otherwise, both the food and the service were good.

We popped into the Blue Plate Oysterette to meet friends who were locals - they promised us the best ceviche in town and they weren't wrong. My kids are quite fussy eaters but there was something to please everyone on the menu. The service was prompt and friendly and the atmosphere fun.

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster.
