Ate her on a Sunday, during the extensive happy hour. Service was slow, asked for happy hour. We're seated in regular dining. Waited 35 to get order taken. After swimming and walking from the beach we were to tired to move. Food was at decent. Service just sucked.

I love the ambience of this place. Unfortunately, the rest of the place is a let down. Our server barely spoke English, was not very attentive, served dishes without serving utensils, and seemed to be bored. The Chinese chicken salad looked like torn up pieces up lettuce with Oscar Mayer chicken chunks thrown in it. The sushi was salty and... More

Came in Sat. May14 2016 and the three hostesses in the front were terrible. We were the only ones there in line and they couldn't even attend to our need of GETTING A TABLE. Is not a science. Place was pretty empty. There was no rush. Don't understand why having three girls in the front who can't do the job... More

We visited Wokcano on a Thursday night for a late dinner. Upon entering the restaurant we were told we would need to wait 5 minutes for a table; despite the fact the restaurant was empty. Not a great start!! The food was okay, however most of it was luke warm or cold. The service was pretty slow despite the fact... More

Came here on Thursday night for dinner and salsa dancing. I waited 40 minutes for my 2nd drink and 30 mins for my 3rd drink. It actually became a joke to our group. Our food was not the best. Veggie dumplings were good, crazy rice tasted like it was frozen and bland, seared tuna app was over cooked and wayyy... More

We visited on a Saturday night for dinner. As the title suggests, the food was just fine, however, the ambiance left much to be desired. The room was physically cold and the noise level was high. Unfortunately, service was average, at best. Our server was disinterested and inattentive. With the plethora of sushi restaurants in the city, we will be... More

Fun place, great food and Sushi that is exemplary. This place has excitement, buzz and really really good food and drinks. It gets busy early and stays busy late. A place to be seen and to have great food. Note: The staff has the typical "attitude" of a trendy place but don't let that put you off. The service is... More

This place was an unexpected delight. We were not sure, we had read good things but Chinese cuisine we've eaten in Santa Monica has usually been average really. Anyway we sat upstairs on the patio during the week on Salsa night...50 or more people were having lessons as we ate or delicious food. It wasn't overbearing in terms of noise... More

Their happy hour is amazing value - three of us ordered a huge amount of food because almost all the dishes are 5 dollars! The sashimi is 10 dollars, but totally worth the extra! Everything we ordered was delicious!

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
