had sandwiches that were completely unremarkable. Even the foccia bread wasn't really good. The fruit pockets, however, were really good.

We stopped in for coffee and a pastry. The place was hopping, you could tell it was a locals favorite. Service was quick and friendly, my croissant was buttery and flaky and my son's lemon poppyseed muffin was lemony and sweet. They have seating inside but we got ours to go. They have a piano and a customer was playing... More

August 1st, 2009 we were cruising on our 12,000 km trip from Alberta to the Oregon coast down through California and over to Chicago and back to ontario. On this day we happen to hear about this quaint little bakery where we stopped for an AMAZING breakfast, but also was able to enjoy David Winters spectacular music! Would go back... More

Nice little bakery to grab a fresh baked scone, croissant or muffin. The smells of fresh baking are wonderful! Pre-made breakfast burritos that you warm yourself in a provided microwave are just ok. Would be wonderful if they had a few types of egg sandwiches made to order on the menu.

There is little choice for breakfast, but what is offered is very good. I loved that there was live music at 10am. The place does seem a little careworn but appears clean. There is a great deck to sit outside and eat. The reason my rating isn't higher is just that the assistant was just not friendly at all -... More

We usually go to Gayle's for pastries but it was so crowded we opted to just keep driving by. We were headed to Half Moon Bay for the day so we go on Highway 1 and saw the bakery as were driving out of town. The staff was very friendly and they do have a few tables inside and outside... More

If you don't mind a laid-back cafe, this is the place for you. The food is good, although the service requires you to relax and wait patiently. Lots of nice bakery items, smoothies and sandwiches. If the weather allows, sit on the patio outside, as it's prettier and quieter. You will get to see a wide variety of locals passing... More

We had 11 in our party. They didn't have a lot of choices for breakfast, egg & bacon or sausage burrito or ham & cheese croissants that were made before hand which were refrigerated. They had a microwave to heat them up. The bacon in the burrito was NOT cooked very long~almost raw. (I cooked it separately in their microwave)... More

We stopped here on our way to Carmel from San Francisco driving down the Pacific Coast Highway. It was a typical home town bakery you might expect to find. This bakery gives you an opportunity to watch as some of their products are being made. A good selection of different items were eaten by us, all of which were very... More

I know! Everyone loves Gayle's And I do too! But Emily's has great pastries and coffee and wonderful wait staff. The 'vibe' is family friendly and the Croissants are the VERY BEST!!
