Los Pinos has become my "go to" place for Mexican food in downtown Santa Cruz. The food is delicious, the service is fast, and the price is right. You won't find a better deal anywhere than their super tacos. Each meal comes with complimentary chips and salsa, and the salsa definitely has some heat to it. Another plus is, because... More

I took my friend out for lunch on his birthday. He recommended that we go to Restaurante Los Pinos. I'm glad he did. The salsa choices were an amazing compliment to their fresh corn tortilla chips. I ordered the carne asada burrito, while my friend had the chile verde burrito. I tried his chile verde and it was spot-on. My... More

We had just finished a fun day at the Roaring Railroad and were very hungry. Looked up this place on Trip Advisor. Looked like a sports bar from the street, but was far from that. We almost didn't stop by. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Hard to find good Mexican food while on vacation and this was definitely a good... More

Wander in to this modest place and have a bite of great Mexican food. It is not fancy, but we enjoyed our meals very much. Chips and salsa, great! Chicken Enchiladas, yummy. Carne Asada good and tender. We were wandering down town Santa Cruz, and hankering for some Mexican food, this place is off the main street, but not far.... More

This is our go to place for crispy, carne asada tacos. served with rice and beans as take out can serve two for lunch. Nice little spot, usually lots of people inside eating, and nice hardworking family who run the place. The nachos are excellent. It has been in this location for many years and it won the crispy taco... More

Just a bit off the main street with all the fancy eating and shopping. Find this place and you will be glad you did. First thing you notice is the number of Mexican people Eating here. This may be a family operation. Great service. Food is very fresh. I had two super tacos that were very large. Saw some surf... More

Funny how this restaurant reminds me of restaurants in France, please ot French cooking, and really a working man cafe, but the food is tops over hundreds of mexican restaurants in South Bay/Santa Cruz. It is my lunch restaurant, just outside of downtown, across the intersection from the postoffice. Quiet and good. Discussion of good not held here. Suffice to... More

We found this place and stopped in. It was reasonable priced, great service and food. The only thing missing would be a margarita!

We don't often stop in cheap tiny informal Mexican eateries, but we did here, and we were delighted. Food was very fresh and tasty, service was quick and friendly, and we enjoyed the meal more than we would at many restaurants that would be twice the price.
