Service was decent as always, the winner is the food! Have had clam chowder, fish sandwich, you name it, it has always been great. Whenever we visit Santa Cruz, you must go to the Pier and eat here. By far the best of all of the Wharf Restaurants!

We loved the location - quaint, all the way at the end of the wharf, with great views. We had mussels, halibut, wedge, and clam chowder. We thought the halibut - which was fresh and really good - could have used a sauce of some sort. The service was excellent - locals happy to provide recommendations. We wanted a local... More

We ate at Stagnaro Brothers on a rainy evening, so the view was very limited. However, one still experiences the sound of the rolling surf and barking seals as they walk the pier to get to the restaurant location on the pier. Inside, was a somewhat utilitarian feel, nothing fancy, but it did have the feel for where the locals... More

This has been my go-to place to take visitors for quality local seafood for a handful of years. I brought my step-dad from out of state, who really likes seafood. . Unfortunately the special he ordered (sea bass--not sure if that is even local), was dry and overcooked. It was disappointing. I had the fish tacos, which were pretty good--although,... More

Whenever I'm in Santa Cruz I love to go to Stagnaro Bros for their happy hour. The coconut shrimp, calamari and fish tacos are my favorites! Excellent food, beautiful views and good prices. The view is the best upstairs and you can see sailboats go by and the occasional seal, whale or dolphin.

just had cocktails (medium to mediocre) and some appetisers, but fabulous spot overlooking the water, seals and beach. Happy servers ready and willing....looks like locals as well and perhaps students also...

The place has marvellous seaview so try to get such a table. The service is quite fast but a bir indifferent. The food, unfortunately, is more abundant in quantity than quality. The Seafood Platter, for example, serves a variety of same-tasting fried seafood for about 25 USD. It fills very well your stomache but do not offer too much gastronomic... More

Head out to the end of the Scruz wharf- one of the original families to make Santa Cruz their home from Italy is Stagnaros... The other was Locatelli. Great chowder, great calamari, most all is very good. We tend to get 2 or 3 appetizers and that is dinner, the views from upstairs (full menu as well) are great- to... More

This is a locals place for family dinners! Food good for all ages. Excellent seafood. Great views for sunsets and looking back to lighthouse and steamers lane. Crowded and wait lines during the summer.

Stagnaro Bros has been there since the Santa Cruz Wharf itself. Their first business was to catch the critters...and still is. Every one has their favorite wharf seafood restaurant...and a few not so favorite, but the healthy mix of locals with the tourists says this one is where you won't leave disappointed. The food is always fresh and prepared perfectly.... More
