Wyatt was attentive and professional. We had been driving since early morning thus we started with a cappuccino. We sat outside and the weather was great. The coffee and the pleasant environment certainly revived us. I ordered poached eggs Florentine - with spinach and tomatoes...- it came with home country fries potatoes. Everything was delicious. Our server, Wyatt, was efficient and observant. He did a great jobMore

Love when I go to a restaurant that offers several types of benedicts. Huge breakfast and lunch menu. Food was flavorful and served nice and hot. I would suggest heat lamps for outside because we were quite chilly during our meal. Great service and decent...prices. Definitely will return!More

We really enjoyed Walnut Avenue Cafe. We were recommended it by my brother who used to live in Santa Cruz. The food was delicious! The usual American breakfast items such as pancakes, french toast, eggs, omelets and scrambles. Lots of good options! I mainly looked...a breakfast items. Which they were serving still at 12. I had a chorizo scramble which I was able to substitute the home fries for fresh fruit. It was delicious! The service was good and it was very reasonably priced. I highly recommend!More

Food is as advertised but even better, tastes fresh, good quantity and quality. Amazing service, especially by Martha!!!! Coffee is delicious and comes from a special toaster. 100% worth the stop.

We stopped here for breakfast after hearing they had "the best breakfast" in town. We definitely can't agree with that. I ordered french toast that came burnt and my wife ordered the huevos rancheros con carnitas that was roughly 80% beans, had almost no meat....Another thing to consider is the noise level, it's incredibly loud. I had to raise my voice just so my wife could hear me across the table. Overall not a great experience.More

I had breakfast here once again and the breakfast was really tasty! I had the feta, basil and tomato scramble and really enjoyed it! I was able to substitute the potatoes for a fruit bowl. My cousin had the tofu scramble and he said it...was really good. It was raining really hard outside so the restaurant was not as busy as usual. Enjoy!More

Stopped here for a late breakfast during a day trip to Monterey. Ordered a scramble and it was dynamite. Our server was courteous and food was served up quickly. We enjoyed the street view from the patio and especially enjoyed the fact that the patio...was dog friendly. Would definitely visit again.More

After a long drive we arrived in Santa Cruz for a late lunch. We rely on Tripadvisor for restaurant recommendations when we travel and were not disappointed when we chose Walnut Avenue Cafe. Although this was the Santa Cruz music festival weekend we managed to...get a table and enjoyed a very good lunch. Service is friendly and efficient. Lots of choice on the menu and while I enjoyed a salad other folks were having breakfast and brunch options. Certainly a spot to enjoy a meal if you are in Santa Cruz.More

No Reservations, arrive early and get on the list. A table would be more comfortable.
