I don't go to Santa Cruz that often but when I do I make it a point to come here for breakfast. I LOVE the food and the place is so cute! I jut got home from a week in Santa Cruz so we went here on Tuesday morning because it is always so crowded on weekends. Even on a... More

Very good Brazilian food! Order a side of sweet plantains and a guava smoothie for the road, plus some Brazilian coffee grounds!

I'm almost ancient, have eaten a lot of egg dishes, and drank gallons of mimosas during my existence, BUT never have I had a more tasty omelette, nor a better beverage. Their Passion Fruit Mimosa almost brought me to tears, even after 2 sips. The entree left me totally and completely blissful.

As ou approach the yellow and green house on Mission St., you know you're arriving at Cafe Brasil. It was our first stop in Santa Cruz as we exited Highway 1. We were hungry for lunch and this restaurant was on our to do list. There was a crowd as we approached so we could already tell this spot was... More

Coffee: the Pingado consists of a small pot of coffee, a small pot of milk, a small bowl of fruit, and a few slices of white bread, presumably from the baguette mentioned on the menu. Cost $7.25, about three dollars too much. Acai bowl: although raved about in lots of reviews, we thought it was just okay. Cost $7.75. Less... More

Cafe Brasil is a gem in Santa Cruz. Everything is made from scratch with local ingredients. This is an authentic Brazilian restaurant that is family owned. In fact, you almost feel as if you are dinning in someone's home while eating there, because the staff and setting is so warm and friendly. They also have fantastic juices from the juice... More

We have been going here for 18 years. Family friendly and a great staff. We are so lucky to have them in our little town.

We stopped by after a weekend hike and as the wait was long, we opted to grab acai bowls to go. I hoped to swap out the apple juice (while organic, it's high sugar) for a non-dairy option, however I was told they could not make any changes. The bowls were very sweet and topped with what tasted like store-bought... More

I tried the Feijoada Completa. It was something new. I was told it was a traditional Brazilian specialty. It consisted of a bowl of black bean stew simmered with various sausages. Served with a side plate with rice, farofa, slices of orange and sautéed greens. I had never heard of tried farofa. It was interesting when mixed with the black... More

Cafe Brasil is my favorite breakfast spot in Santa Cruz. I've never had a bad meal here, and I love the laid-back atmosphere. The coffee with steamed milk, the acai bowls, scrambles, muffins and pancakes are all amazing. The only down-side is the parking, but a short walk is well worth it.
