Stopped for a brew and some eats. They had several beers on tap. My husband had a stout and liked it. Thanks had a Frose’ drink. Both were good. There was a food truck out front, so we were able to order nachos.

Solid brewery! Good beer, outdoor seating and cool vibe. The menu is limited, but there are good restaurants nearby. It's nice that it's dog-friendly, but someone had a large dog on a bench and no one said anything...yikes.

After a day in SC going to beaches that reject dogs, nice to be welcomed here! Good service, quality drinks, taco truck. Nice patio...saved the day!

Perfect lunch stop on a bike tour through Santa Cruz! Loved the beer (unicorn tears), friendly staff, great outdoor seating, plenty of room for my bike, thank you!!

This place makes a wide variety of great organic beers. I love the sweet ride porter, but you can't go wrong with most of the beers I've tasted. It can be a challenge to order at times because the service area is quite small, so...as long as you can be patient when it's busy, you'll be rewarded with some tasty beers.More

My husband and I really can't praise Taylor highly enough when we enjoyed a tour around her brewery. Afterwards we had a sampling board of 8 different beers and we were given a souvenir glass.

I saw a IPA Unicorn at the Santa Cruz Brewery...haha. So, SCB was definitely a cool spot to chill. It’s about a 15 drive from the SCBB by Mission Street. Pros: in a safe area, easy to find, indoor & outdoor seating, nice variety of...brew (A taste flight is a little pricey...$16 but u get 8 varieties), friendly smiling bartenders, Open Tab option & pet friendly. To work on: Too far to walk to SCBB. The taproom is very sml so if ur visiting when it’s raining like we did...be prepared to make new friends. Have ur order ready as there are only 2 servers & if it’s ur 1st visit the lines get long quick. Ask for a Beer Stein otherwise u just get a simple pint glass. No freebies here, we had to pay for peanuts $4 for equivalent a pint size cup. Parking is a sml lot. Worth revisiting.More

The beer selections at this brewery are absolutely outstanding. I tend to get the flight of 8 to try things out. My latest faves are the Sarcastic with a Smile (deliciously citrusy), Seaquoia Red Ale (brewed with seaweed and kelp!), Ginger's Winter Warmer (with ginger,...jalapeño, citrus peel and honey), and You're a Good Man Charlie brown ale. I know, the names are kitschy and cutesy, but the flavors are fantastic. This is a great place to congregate with friends and enjoy great beer and good times.More

Great spot for a drink with friends after a long MTB ride. They have a great selection of beers and you can order food. The food comes from Kelly's next door and hits the spot. On the weekends the place can get packed. Get there...before noon and your set.More

Nice, casual outdoor setting. Good beer and ciders. Food brought in from bakery across the parking lot. It was okay, not anything too exciting. Just a limited bar food menu. Located near other businesses, brewery, wine tasting rooms, etc.

We sampled all of the beers and were not impressed. Everything tasted the same. They have a limited food menu. Nothing special.

Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery is a must when visiting Santa Cruz. Our daughter and now son in-law introduced it to us while students at UCSC years ago. Kelly's bakery is next door and delivers food to go with your brew. Great location and outdoor seating...area!More

Super friendly staff, really great beer, quick service and lots of seating. Would definitely go back.

Dropped in for a sample wheel on Monday. growler fills were half off. Went for the big dipa. Unicorn ipa was also great.

I've been coming to Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery for years. My daughter first introduced it to me when she was still a student at UCSC, and that was over 12 years ago. They've added more seating, and heat lamps. They have food specials from different...vendors so your not just relying on Kelly's for something to eat. (Nothing wrong with Kelly's) They sell beer in different varieties. You can order a pint, a flight, pitchers or fill up your growler. Thats what we do, on Mondays, 1/2 price! My favorite thing to do when I have a day off in the middle of the week is to walk down to the Brewery with my dog (yes, pets on a leash are very permitted), get a beer and read one of my magazines in a quiet relaxed atmosphere. Its nice having a local place to call mine. I'm sure everyone thinks of this place as their own. I love all the remodeling, enlarging the place for all to have a place to sit. And being a brewery in the middle of several wineries is gutsy. I like that, but I like their beer better!More
