Let's start with the good - This place has fantastic atmosphere. There is a full sized car inside, plus cool automobile and 1950s/60s nostalgia everywhere the eye can see. It's really well done and beautiful. They have TV's going with vintage commercials which are Coll...for the most part, though I wasn't a fan of all the military/machine gun toy commercials... I would have preferred not to have to explain why kids were shooting at each other and throwing hand grenades at dinner... but maybe that's just me. At any rate... they really set the expectations high. If only they could live up to the beautiful atmosphere they created. It took quite a long time for the waiter to come back and take our order. Like... a "starting to wonder if they forgot about us" long time. The 6.99 kids meals come with either fries or a breadstick. If you wanted fruit instead that's another nearly $4. So if my child wanted chicken fingers, or a hot dog or a hamburger with fruit... it's be over $10! My son wanted the Mac and cheese, which the waiter voiced was a small portion and he recommended the pasta, which I really appreciated. My son's pasta was easily the best meal of my party. I always appreciate honesty from the wait staff. I am on a Keto diet, and asked for salad instead of fries. I was told that there would be an uncharge... but I was thinking an extra dollar or something (because they're replacing the fries... not just giving me a side right?), but it was again near $4! So my cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce and salad (iceberg, tomatoes and cucumbers) was about 17.99. I had asked for oil and vinegar and my salad came with ranch on the side. No problem... the waiter said he'd be right back with the oil and vinegar... a tase that should have lasted no more than a minute to run and get the oil and vinegar... yet this time we passed the "starting to wonder if he forgot about us" phases and I had to get up and find him. He said he'd get right on it and still had to wait for him to find it and bring it. The burger was pretty good, though at the price I paid should have come with bacon or avocado or something... But it was good. My wife ordered the steak dip sandwich and it was fatty as all get out and she couldn't eat it. She ate not even half of it. I helped her eat the meat since I was still kind of hungry. I should also mention that the benches of the booths weren't properly attached and every time I got up, the seat (OF THE BOOTH) came with me revealing the depths that ay beneath. I already spoiled to you how much the burger ended up costing - which was a surprise. I also thought nearly $7 ($6 and some change... I forget exactly what) was steep for 2 diet cokes... I had already paid but took a gander at the menu where the coked are clearly labeled 2.99. A waitress tried to explain to us that they recently raised their prices and the menus weren't up to date yet. THAT really got to me... What your menu says it what you need to charge! No matter how insignificant the difference. That breaks the line from a crappy meal at a terrible value to active dishonesty! It's a matter of principal. So I was pretty upset, and told them that they need to charge what is on the menu. I was told that they were going to get the owner. I said fine, but realized I didn't want to wait EVEN LONGER, so I just got my son's jacket on with the intention of leaving. In place of the owner, they brought over the manager who again was filled with more excuses and confirmed that cokes are 2.99 (essentially admitting that the other waitress was just talking out of her but making up excuses to explain away the problem). I voiced our experience and she said that she'd tell the owner. I hope she does. If she doesn't, I'm I can only hope they'll see my experience here. Something needs to change... they have a beautiful place that should be an amazing experience that is over priced with terrible service. Before leaving she asked me what I wanted... did I want money back. I told her that I just want the owners to understand they're running this place poorly and to make changes... but that I'd take money back. The waiter came back and handed me $10 back. I am glad they did something about it. The waiter was super apologetic and I learned that there was only 2 wait staff members on. Okay... this place is BIG! It is absolutely irresponsible to run a restaurant with this capacity with only TWO wait staffers. I told him it wasn't his fault... the owners need to get him some help! And I hope they do... This place has the potential to be a place on my not-to-be-missed list. Instead it's currently at a HARD PASS!More

It’s a restaurant where you can push the shopping. There’s food of different kinds including Missouri and Oklahoma plates for a road trip on Canyon Country located through entertainment and browsers within streets of grey against a busy schedule for plenty. Around the building you’ll...find memorabilia for Coca-Cola which acts as Route 66’s soda, replenishment, and debtor concerning beverages and interior decor related to the red-and-white brand. Grilled chicken sandwiches here compare to McDonald’s Bacon Smokehouse even if pickles and coleslaw freshen up my day on a high note, so choices will meet demand. Route 66 isn’t cold turkey unless you want it. Varying factors of experience depend on contrast between decision and receipt over food that’s proven in hunger along your lines since to me burgers, appetizers, and other items rain on my parade for good show. Food presentation at Route 66 is continuous and uplifting under the roof where Snoopy dolls watch me from little red planes, “Coca-Cola” glows in hot neon, and golden oldies blast from hidden radios. Even tables are laid out in fashion for generations prior to the 80’s despite similarities among hanging signs, as particulars get a handle on music where meat is grilled to perfection, appetizers improve taste for later meals, and soda gives us more courage to handle our thirst. Service around here is exquisite no matter how the past and the future combine into experience through dining. Present moments, over and over, interpret the rest we’ve sobered up to. A lot happens to be efficient in good terms for which Route 66 determines quality not only by choice of action, yet there’s enough quantity on the line, a menu as big as it can get for some time, when fries pop out of a dish towards other seats all around the dining circle I’ve probably volunteered on with my family on special occasions in our history together. Often you’ll find me with a cowboy hat where the sun shines onto the water fountain located to the side of Route 66’s building between more slots in the parking lot, or maybe I should say “parking lots” because of the wide expanse you’ll find at the classic grill’s quarters, some of which act as pathways to a Vietnamese restaurant across the street and another one of those Greek-looking cafes at a sharp turn heading to McDonald’s over the asphalt. Be careful when you cross the streets though. The grill is excellent for a bite, provides continuous and reliable service through hire and immediate sanity, or else does both in my mind while the going gets tough and I leave it to faith when crossing the real Route 66 heading up towards Chicago from the Pacific as I can see enough into my praise for their delicious, quick product.More

Stopped her just after noon with a motorcycle tour made up of Germans and Swiss (21 total people). We took over the patio and were promptly asked what we wanted to drink, as they put water in front of everyone. The management was very nice...to allow separate checks for the group. Everyone seemed to enjoy their selections and I don't believe anyone left hungry. My wife and I liked it so much that a few days later we returned for dinner. The owner came out to meet the tour group and showed us around.More

On a sunny Sunday afternoon I decided to slide on over to one of my local favs, Route 66, to get my usual yummy Pastrami sandwich and ice cold brew. First mistake - forgot that one does not just 'slide in' to a popular eatery...such as R66 during the lunch hour, in the summer, on a sunny Sunday afternoon - the place was a madhouse! Good for biz, not so good for hungry or impatient patrons. I however was hungry, but certainly was not being impatient (and rude) as so many other patrons were. My poor waitress so extremely stressed out - but I assured her I was in no hurry. OK - so about 25 minutes later the meal arrives - pastrami laid out on a bun, looking very old and tired, hiding way too may pickle slices and - yes, MAYONNAISE mixed with mustard! GASP! Well, it was time to eat, and although the pastrami was nowhere near the usual yummy quality, I chewed through it, mostly to spare my waitress from any further stress. On the way out, I summoned the 'chef', and asked him, "what happened to the pastrami today?". Instead of manning up and admitting guilt, I got the "uuhh, nothing sir, why do you ask?" treatment. My parting words were "I highly recommend you double check your pastrami"... trying desperately not to glance in a downward motion towards his apron as I said it.... Nuff Said!More

Traveling stopped in for lunch waiter was quick to get our drink and food order kinda felt rushed or like he didn't want to be here, things got better with him, always checking on us, so he made up for it, lol we ordered patty...melt with steak fries and pastrami sandwich with sweet potato fries and also a chili cheese dog with onion rings, all if our meals were good, can't complain. Lots to look at in route 66 diner. They do have classics car shows and bike nights during summer starting in April for cars and may for bikes. Only reason I didn't give 5 was the waiter attitude when first arrived, as we all know first impressions in a customer service industry is the MOST important.More

Its like a time machine for us older people and a casual atmosphere for a family setting. Food is always good and no problem selecting a different side than what is on the menu. One word of advice; if you are thinking of the Taco...Salad ( its big enough for two). I enclosed a picture with my review of it. I had the Patty Melt with onion rings. Note: if you are into old cars, the 2nd Saturday of every month they have car show starting at 5pm but a lot of cars get there early. Restaurant is right in Edwards parking lot so you can stop in after a movie.More

Visit relatives in the area and at some time or other we will dine out here. The food is nothing extraordinary though my grandkids loved the hot dogs. The 50's/60's background music and the decor are what I like about the place. Used to get...a few bikers here, the older, well behaved type, which meant a wander around the motor cycles when you left. That hasn't changed. Friendly waitress.More

We are infrequent diners here but like to stop in on occasion. It's a fun stop especially all the old nostalgia being displayed. The food is okay and will satisfy most everyone. We arrived around 5 p.m. on a Sunday. Only one table being occupied...and we were seated next to them. Our sever was very nice and did a great job. Will go back again. We recommend this establishment.More

A decent family place to visit. Food is good but honestly it tends to be somewhat on the grease your side. I don't mind the sports bar atmosphere but there are just way too many TVs. If Sports is what you're into it's a good...place. Remember, you will be surrounded by TVs so if you don't feel like watching TV it might not be the best place to go to dinnerMore

What a neat place. 60's dinner decor. Looks like they have a full service bar. A lot of cool signs - decorations. We are originally from Cincinnati, Ohio ( Chili and chili coneys are a staple). So we tried the chili dog with chili, cheese...and onions. It's too messy to pick up and eat. You'll be better off eating it with a fork and knife. We had a nice waitress who checked on us and made sure everything was good. It looks like they have a large selection of items on menu. Enjoyable place. The food was good, as the service we received.More

Loved the décor and the old coin operated juke boxes at each booth (even though we left before my choice of...song played). Service was fast and friendly and I'll be paying another visit next time I'm in town.More

Huge salads, great burgers that can beat In-and-Out, tasty sandwiches like the tri-tip! Yummy! Seem super involved in the local community and...it is not a chain which I love! Check it out!More
