Interesting and original menu that changes monthly. Leverages local fresh produce, herbs and spices. Home made bread and butter were a nice touch. Market Fish and beef were Devine and spot on. Chicken was hit and miss (the crusting was overwhelming, over cooked and heavy)....More

My wife and I ate dinner at this restaurant in June 2018. The food was excellent, as was the service. The dishes were interesting, tasty and nicely prepared. The atmosphere was also good..not noisy or phrenetic.

We have been to this restaurant several times. Each time we are impressed with the creativity. One time we had quail cooked in coffee grounds. The last time we had grilled avocados for an appetizer. They had a delicious sauce on them with tamarind. The...More

Almost missed this restaurant (Open Table had erroneously permitted reservation on night they were closed!) Luckily, someone on staff called me and we got it straightened out, so I was able to enjoy after all. Some very inventive and tasty looking stuff on menu. I...More

I'm a SB local and have tried much of the food in the city. This place is phenomenal. Very unique and has a "farm to table" type menu in which they use seasonal ingredients and create dishes inspired by the local climate. My boyfriend and...More

Great place in residential sort of neighborhood. Food was fabulous! Friend and I shared the Brussels sprouts and a burger. The taters with the burger were as fantastic as the rest — irresistible, and I dont go for fries. These were way better. Not inexpensive,...More

We've been to this lovely restaurant twice. We love their mission to offer a high-end, local, creative, yet relaxed dining experience. Please keep experimenting and surprising us. We hope others feel the same. Prices are very fair for what you get. Highly recommended.

I used to be a big fan of Barbareno. But then they sold it and a new chef took over. I have been there three times now, to check out what's happening. Unfortunately, things have been going downhill for the quality of the food at...More

The food at barbareno was exceptional. We ate here in September 2017 and loved it. Definitely worth going off the high street to eat here. Highly recommend the bao buns to start, the tri tip & ribs for main and the chocolate dessert is exceptional....More

If by "BYO" you mean "bring your own" wine, then yes, in my experience they did with a corkage fee. I brought a bottle of one of my favorite pinots. I have no idea what the corkage fee was.
