Family of 4 there on a Friday night. They do not take bookings, the atmosphere inside was great so we were happy we did. All our means we're yum and service excellent...prices reasonable. If we lived in Santa Barbara we would be regulars.

For the best Italian food in Santa Barbara go to Via Maestra! It's where all the locals go and you might even see someone from Lost. Great wine selection and even have glutton free. Stevie is the best server in Santa Barbara, glad she is back!!

I hadn't been to Via Maestra 42 in many years. It's a very small restaurant in a strip mall next to the post office. Tables are tiny. Have eaten here several times over the years when I visit Santa Barbara. It is still one of the best Italian experiences food wise. Order food at the counter and it is brought to your table when ready. Strangely a charge is made to sit at a table. But the sorbettis and gelatos are fantastic.

Ran in for some Gelato on a warm day, and saw all of the good food; plus the staff seemed pleasant. We ordered five dinners to go the next night. Excellent. Had some outside tables too. I will try it again.

Delicious Italian food in cozy setting. I had the pumpkin ravioli with brown butter sauce, yum. Lasagna was good too. Strip mall setting but somehow manages to be romantic and intimate. Service was very good.

Was very pleasantly surprised by this place. you order at the counter and they deliver the food to your table. Very well made flavorful Italian food at a good price.
