This place was cute AND was delicious. Yellow Veggie Curry was absolutely incredible. Hot and sour soup from a pot, beef dumplings and red beef curry. We'd get them all over again!

I will call myself somewhat familiar with Thai cuisine, and i must say that the food quality and the taste of this restaurant would rank on below average scale. Granted, we did take out, not dine in so I can not comment on other aspects of this establishment. It is located on State st. so it is convenient.

Fast service, really nice food and just what was needed on a cold winter's night. The place is nothing fancy, but the food was worth stopping for.

Had a hot and sour soup with shrimps: OK (have tasted better...but not bad at all and the portion was huge!). Then 'Sauna Shrimp': a hotpot of very tasty large shrimps with onions, spinach and garlic: nice! Ended with a coconut icecream...very nice meal! Pity I can't come back more often to sample the menu!

Santa Barbara has a wealth of good places to eat. Galanga isn't one of them. Thai food, in my experience, offers some of the most subtle and sophisticated flavors to be had, and all of them were missing from my spicy fried rice dinner this evening. The meal was served lukewarm, the rice gelatinous and generally tasteless. Basil was listed... More

My wife and I were so pleased with their food, we were glad we each got a dish. In theory, they were going to be doggy bagged as leftovers. But it was so good, only she had saved some for later. Yum!

Santa Barbara has a ton of food options but wanted something lite and take out this time, so walked up to Galanga Thai. Ordered pork dumplings that were steamed and came with a dipping sauce. They did not have a lot of flavor but the sauce made up for it. For main course I ordered Spicy Mint Noodles with mixed... More

Four of us recently ate dinner at Galanga Thai. We had talked about thai food all day and were so excited to get it. We all agreed that it was a little bland and that the egg rolls were the best part. The service was a little slow and all our food arrived at varied times which was strange. I... More

I came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon while on my business trip in Santa Barbara. The setting inside the restaurant is nice with a few decors throughout the restaurant. The server was pleasant and attentive, friendly, and always checked up on me. I had their Chicken Fried Rice and Thai Iced Tea. The fried rice was fresh and... More

Coming from Melbourne, Australia, there's a vast selection of multicultural foods, including Thai. I'm extremely picky when it comes to phad thai noodles and I must say that the phad thai I tried was spot on! It wasnt too oily and more importantly not too dry, just perfect! The service was prompt, the man (maybe the owner?) was very polite... More
