Aldo's has a comfortable atmosphere inside and a people watching patio outside. We enjoy their menu with the good Italian fare. Decor is charming and service is good.

The restaurant looks good in and out but it smells kind of like a greasy spoon inside. I suspect patio seating must be nice but it is getting cold lately. Our waitress was dragging her feet with zero personality and the good was sort of blend. Eatable but blend. Will not go back. This is a nice town with lots... More

The angle hair pomodoro was outstanding, probably the best I've had. I started with a cesar salad and it was excellent..so great food. Service was just so-so. Only one server and she was overworked.

We found this restaurant many years ago when we visited Santa Barbara for the first time. We drove up and down State Street until we found it again. We love sitting out on their patio, as Santa Barbara tends to have the most beautiful weather in the fall. The food was as wonderful as it was last time. I ordered... More

Spent the afternoon in Santa Barbara and decided to find somewhere in town for an early diner. Picked Aldo's because there were already people there, I hate going into empty restaurants. Menu isn't massive, which is a good thing, and the food we had was very good. Try the pasta and meatballs. Service was excellent.

Pretty patio, decent food and prices, friendly service. We added scallops to the purple kale salad and they were mini, like the size of chickpeas. For an extra $5, a few chickpea-sized scallops is not worth it.

This place is not great. If you're looking for a good tourist trap on State Street, then this is your place. Average food, not great service. If you're looking for Italian, go to Ca Dario, Arnoldi's, Trattoria Mollie, Tre Lune, or Via Maestra instead.

Identified this as a potential for dinner whilst exploring State Street. The menu looked good, so we went back in evening and settled down for a good Italian dinner - we were not disappointed We sat out under the stars, and the food was really good, with good service. Highly enjoyable

Great location, Restaurant just on state street in near santa barbara downtown. However, the menu at the entrance which you can check before you enter the place was showing lower pricing as the menu in the restaurant.
