Sat outside overlooking the ocean which was wonderful. We both had the crab benedict which was very very good. The bella spritz was an interesting and refreshing drink. Service is excellent.

Worst dining experience of my life. So disappointed! We are visiting my daughter from Maine with several family members and we were all looking forward to a special dinner for Valentines Day but instead spent 3+ hours literally feeling like we were invisible. The dinner...was prefixed $125 per person- within the 3 hour span I received an expresso sized cup of soup and a scallop. Not an exaggeration- at hour 3 we finally started getting really frustrated asked several times what was going on with our food as we watched tables seated after us onto their dessert courses and finally gave up and asked for the bill- waited 20 more mins for that and then they tried to serve us cold entrees that looked haphazardly thrown on the plates. In the end we were only charged for the first two course but everyone’s evening was ruined. Thanks Bella Vista.More
Unfortunately our Valentines Day dinner was very disappointing. Service was bad, slow, food not adequately warm and not what you would expect from a Four Seasons Hotel restaurant. Food quality was way below average for a restaurant for such rating and expected quality. The setting...is nice if you are seated outside or by windows. Will not recommend this restaurant for Valentines dinner since there was not enough of the special touch of romance that I have seen in other restaurants.More
This Four Seasons restaurant is in a nice setting, however, the food does not live up to the setting. Dinner was a huge disappointment. The pasta was awful. Salads were simple and could be much improved. Fish was not prepared very well. Breakfast is better,...the buffet was not very elaborate, though for $85 it is overpriced. My son who does not drink paid the same price as an adult who could drink unlimited sparkling wine. The pasta was cold, as was the dumplings. Sushi was not very good. One would expect better of the Four Seasons.More
We arrived late at the hotel and went straight into evening meal. We had booked a table on line. The waiters were very attentive and had been notified of my food intolerances. They recommended the Bronzino (sea bass) which was cooked to perfection. It was...a relaxed meal . The restaurant is pleasantly appointed and you have the choice of eating in or outside with the use of heaters.More
If you only had one place to lunch in all of California this should be the place. Everything is perfect. When you arrive an efficient, pleasant valet will park your car -- at no charge. Then direct you to the Bella Vista Restaurant. Its name...isn't expressive enough. We were lunching here for the 10th+ time and the garden view of the Channel Islands and the breaking Pacific Ocean waves, was spectacular! Crystal clear, no clouds we could see three of the islands. There was a nip in the air and Anita was a bit chilly. Our waiter, Alejandro, immediately brought her a blanket which she draped over her lap and got comfy -- perfect! I ordered a glass of champagne, served in a contemporary fluted glass. The sun sparkled on the toasty libation. A basket of breads was brought with some unsalted butter -- perfect! I ordered a new menu item, sliced lamb panini with arugula, onion-balsamic marmalade, spiced with pepperoncini. It came on toasted home made olive bread, was perfectly cooked medium rare and served with a rosemary infused au jus -- perfect! Alejandro recommended an Italian Super Tuscan (which wasn't on the lunch menu). It was a perfect compliment to the panini. A hot, rich espresso finished the lunch -- you guessed it, perfect! Really, it doesn't get better.More
This restaurant has a casual setting with beautiful views of the ocean and Channel Islands from the patio ...we made a reservation however the inside was not busy for 7:00 pm ....the service was prompt and efficient....the evening meal was very well done encompassing citrus...salad ,rack of lamb and halibut ...we were celebrating an anniversary so our server brought a special dessert to us on behalf of the staff which was a pleasant surprise...More
If you are looking to indulge in a wonderful meal at this establishment, I suggest you come for Sunday Brunch. WOW! Not only is there such a large variety of food options to choose from, but the quality is outstanding. Where to begin? Well, let...me see if I can remember all the different stations (in no particular order): * Salad * Pasta * Omelet * Carving (roast beef and leg of lamb) * Sushi * Seafood (crab legs, cocktail shrimp, and oysters) * Dessert And, of course, you can wash this all down with an endless supply of Mimosas! When you arrive, I highly recommend you sit on the patio to take in the waterside views. Amazing! Finally, the service is impeccable. Many of the servers have worked there for years and really know how to provide excellent service. Enjoy it. This is truly an wonderful experience.More
AMAZING! WONDERFUL! CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH!! Go, run don't walk. Truly beautiful....a little piece of heaven.
On June 2019, my fiance (now husband) and I arranged our quick wedding ceremony with about 20 people across the street from The Four Seasons Biltmore in front of the beach. Afterwards, we had happy hour at The Tydes Restaurant (owned by The Four Seasons)...and then dinner at Bella Vista Restaurant. It was ALL FABULOUS and the most memorable day of our lives ! This wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for the fabulous staff at The Four Seasons, Bella Vista Restaurant and The Tydes Restaurant! We worked with Samantha Staskus (Food & Beverage Supervisor,) Daniel Almada (Restaurant Manager) and Andreza Holt ( Restaurant Manager). They made it very efficient and easy to plan our special day with us...from suggesting the exact spot for the ceremony, to selecting dinner entree choices, to booking a special suite for the honeymoon and even designing the wedding cake which they baked and designed onsite (as they have a pastry chef onsite!) The cake alone was delicious, deluxe, beautifully designed and reasonably price for 30 servings (we used real 24 gold foil, marbled fondant, edible chocolate shells which they made onsite, as well as real shells for display - see photos!) In addition, The Four Seasons Biltmore offered FREE valet which was available for us and our guests as we had reservations at Bella Vista and we also stayed at the hotel for one night. They handled everything with class and efficiency! This is why we will be coming back for our 1st year anniversary AND we will continue to recommend this resort for your memorable events!! Thank you, Samantha, Daniel and Andreza, from the bottom of our hearts for your friendliness, talent and most of all, your FANTASTIC concierge service! You all are THE BEST in Santa Barbara!!More
