Bella Vista Restaurant is Santa Barbara's most beautiful premier al fresco oceanfront dining experience. With panoramic ocean and island views across Montecito's Butterfly Beach, guests will enjoy a contemporary Italian menu showcasing fresh California ingredients inspired by Executive Chef Marco Fossati. The expansive terrace features Italian marble, indoor fireplaces, an outdoor fire pit and a retractable glass roof further create the indoor-outdoor dining experience. Bella Vista has the distinction of being one of only 12 restaurants in California (the only one in Santa Barbara) licensed to cure its own meats and the shared charcuterie plate is the most popular appetizer on the menu. I have gone to the Four Seasons Biltmore for decades and consider it to be one of the best in the country. Sadly, they implemented a new procedure this week which is, in my opinion, a blemish on an otherwise classic and stately place. After...More

Great selection off the menu and the buffet. I opted for the menu and was not disappointed. The food is excellent. It is simply a great spot.

Santa Barbara is nearly equidistant between our home in Santa Monica and our intended destination of Pismo Beach. My wife and I decided to split up the drive on the way and lunch at the Bella Vista at the Biltmore in SB. We are glad...More

The menu sounds delicious, but doesn't live up. The Lobster Caprese had unripe store bought tomatoes. The crab cake Benedict was a mishmash of flavors. Another entree was brought out missing the main ingredient.

Anniversary dinner on the terrace with ocean views, attentive wait staff and truly excellent food (salad was perfect, local fish, great dessert!). For a two-week vacation in SoCal this was clearly the best restaurant by far of the many we tried.

Wednesday at 6:30p we went especially for the alfresco Chef’s Table Dinner. It was a cool Spring evening and we were concerned we’d be cold dining on the beach patio, but our worries rapidly disappeared. The lovely patio is heated under the stone floor and...More

A cozy afternoon was slowly unfolding as the white BMW 650i glided into valet at the Four Seasons Biltmore Resort. Spanish Colonial Revival architecture (circa 1927) casually enticed us into the spectacular lobby by architect Reginald Johnson. Valets were elegantly attired in plaid shirts and...More

Unfortunately most members of our party didn't enjoy there meals. I think the dinner menu is too out there. It is expensive and the options are limited. I think they should overhaul the menu to be more casual, include more sides, and main dish options....More
