We were looking for a restaurant on State Street and the music outside the restaurant on Cota St. caught our attention. It was a pleasant surprise: the ambiance and the service were excellent. The food - exceptionally good (although we were not crazy about rice, though). The restaurant was packed, yet, we still got a table with no wait. Keep... More

A lovely place. Quirky southern decor and a fabulous menu. The wine list is good and the service is outstanding.

What a great experience! We went on a Saturday night and then don't take reservations after 5.30. However we were advised to get there about 6.45 as people who had booked earlier would be leaving and that was the case. After about 20 minutes of being royally entertained by the three piece band outside we were given a table and... More

We had a very good meal here. Our waitress provided excellent service and food suggestions. A very good effort to serve Cajun style food.

We went to Palace Grill over the weekend. We arrived without a reservations. I really like how their system works. The people with a reservation stand on the left, while the people without reservations stand on the right. We were only the second party in line so we were seated fairly quickly. Soon after we were seated assorted muffins were... More

Our group of 30 all had some pretty terrific food. Excellent service. Tables are crowded and its noisy. But definitely worth a visit.

I have been to the Palace Grill with my daughter - marvelous Lemon Drops! - and most recently with my granddaughter to celebrate her 13th birthday (no Lemon Drops did but indulge in the fantastic Louisiana bread pudding soufflé! The Palace Grill was a great stop for us on our one night stay in Santa Barbara. They do some great food here, really delicious!! But what we really liked was the unique service on arrival with a small basket of muffins! They tasted so good, and really left you hungry for starters and main! We would definitely recommend this... The Palace Grill turned out to be a perfect and fun way to celebrate our 21st anniversary. The food was delicious - we could hardly get past all the fantastic appetizers and cornbread muffins - but entrees (and drinks!) were equally scrumptious. Since it was a special occasion, they wished us a happy anniversary in chocolate on our dessert platter.... More

Nice ambiance, dim, romantic even though noisy..you somehow still can have a good conversation with your party. Great atmosphere, gets crowded during the weekends. Met the owners who in return surprised us with a anniversary cake which was on the same anniversary as theirs. Lovely place.
