My boyfriend had been to this restaurants years ago, before me, and when we decided to visit Santa Barbara, he said this was a "Must Eat" restaurant. I said, great! What's it called ... he didn't remember. I asked, what kind of food ... he couldn't remember. All he know was it was fantastic and it was across the street... More

Traveling from out of town and was recommended to this restaurant. 10/10 would come back. Lots of food for a great price. Try the popcorn crawfish. It's nice to go with another person they have platters for 2 that definitely filled us up. Team oriented restaurant as it seemed like the whole staff was our waiter. Ask for Fern!

This restaurant came fairly highly recommended, and turned out to be rather expensive for a slightly above average meal that was really nothing special, but for the fact that the super-model, Kathy Ireland, who is a local resident of Santa Barbara, was dining at the next table with her family. I had a fairly nondescript seared Ahi steak that was... More

I was delighted to find a Cajun restaurant that received a decent review near our hotel. Food 3.5: Great menu with lots of choices. The gumbo and soft shell crab was tasty. Cajun catfish was ok, slightly under seasoned. Coconut shrimp was mediocre. Vegetable and muffins sides were forgettable. "Famous" bread pudding soufflé with whiskey sauce and chocolate soufflé was... More

It is a very nice location with a band playing live music at the doorstep, although, when playing live music, we recommend to switch off the radio. The service is OK, but the food is just not good enough. We took the palace platter for two, but the food was just warm and some parts were even cold. This is... More

Our hotel recommended the palace grill! We ate there and the good quality was excellent. Cajun chicken, shrimps, scallops, every meal was piping hot and full of flavour. Cocktails were generous and service excellent! So glad we ate there!

You'd think you've just been transported to New Orleans when you are greeted at the door by some of the best trained service personnel in the restaurant business. The music, the atmosphere and the personal attention only compliments the delicious and well-prepared meals. Fernando and all of the staff are top-notch; food is served quickly and shines with authentic elegance.

Great Food, Great Service, Lots of fun. The Palace is definitely a winner. Their muffins are to kill for as is their etouffee. If your in Santa Barbara this place is a must. The line waiting is worth it. It would go there every week if it were closer to my home.

We stayed in Santa Barbara for one night as part of our two-week trip around California. We'd met another couple travelling at our hotel and without realising we'd sat drinking wine and chatting past 9pm. We didn't think it'd be an issue to get food that late, but as it is, not a lot of restaurants serve food past 9pm... More

I got a B-day gift cert, so my trip was free. Good thing, since my food was okay. Loud dining room, but everyone seemed to be having a good time.
