Went on Valentines Day. Beautiful setting and the staff was pleasant but not worth the price. The food was mediocre and meager portions. Very disappointing!!

Wine Cask feels like an old restaurant -- high, painted ceiling, spacious room, much quieter than your typical modern restaurant that is engineered for a frenetic sound level. To us it felt dated, like something that hadn't changed much in decades. Wine list is large and interesting (had a nice Kunin chenin blanc from California) and wines by the glass... More

the greeter/maitre'd left something to be desired.) Parking also left something to be desired. Even though there was a parking lot outside the front door, we were required to give $8 for valet parking. We were stuck in traffic due to an accident. Arrived almost an hour late. They recognized that we were frazzled and gave us a glass of... More

Honestly every bite was scrumptious. We had the steak, mashed potatoes and spinach - a common meal, but done really well. The wine options were affordable and varied, which is important. The atmosphere and noise level were comfortable. No complaints, truly enjoyed our experience. Priced high, but we were prepared for that for a special occasion.

You can eat inside and you'll be very comfortable and happy, but try to sit outside in the courtyard and enjoy the way this restaurant ought to be experienced. The food is expertly prepared and the service is professional. Wine list is superb. One of the very best places in Santa Barbara. Highly recommended.

We went on Saturday evening, having chosen this location based on TripAdvisor listing. We were originally planning to order entrees from the menu, but on our server's recommendation, we decided to try and the five-course pre fixe dinner. She said the pre fixe was "chefs choice," so each course was a surprise. The presentation and creative, complexity of flavors rivaled... More

We were looking for a nice lunch outside in Santa Barbara and wandered into a courtyard where we found the Wine Cask. As the name suggest they had a nice wine list and I had a lovely fresh and fruity glass of rosé and my friend had a wonderful Pinot Gris. We share the calamari with the cilantro sauce to... More

I loved the privacy of this restaurant. Its down an alley way. We sat in the courtyard. There is a small fountain in the center and the sound of the water adds to the experience. My friend and I both had salads. They were fresh and delicious. The cocktails as well. If I am fortunate enough to visit Santa Barbara... More

I had lunch recently at the Wine Cask, after a long absence, and it was a great experience. We shared the mixed green salad then I had the Filet Mignon Enchiladas while my companion chose the Herb-Crusted Salmon; both were absolutely delicious: seasoned and cooked to perfection ! The service was excellent without being intrusive and, while we opted not... More

This was recommended by Ana, the concierge at Bacara. And she was right! This turned out to be one of the best meals we had during our 10 days in Cali. We enjoyed lunch in the courtyard. If they have their tomato soup when you go, at least start with that. The two salads and scallops were also perfection. And... More
