I had lunch recently at the Wine Cask, after a long absence, and it was a great experience. We shared the mixed green salad then I had the Filet Mignon Enchiladas while my companion chose the Herb-Crusted Salmon; both were absolutely delicious: seasoned and cooked to perfection ! The service was excellent without being intrusive and, while we opted not... More

This was recommended by Ana, the concierge at Bacara. And she was right! This turned out to be one of the best meals we had during our 10 days in Cali. We enjoyed lunch in the courtyard. If they have their tomato soup when you go, at least start with that. The two salads and scallops were also perfection. And... More

The Wine Cask is one of Santa Barbara's fine dinning restaurants, there food is seasonal and experimenting with new innovations and ideas constantly. It's located in the old El Paseo buildings, has a lovely little courtyard with a fountain, nice for lunches and mild evenings. This time we had roasted Duck, mixed organic field greens, a small watermelon appetizer, The... More

A friend suggested the Wine Cask as one of her favourite local haunts. It is located in charming downtown Santa Barbara and has a valet parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. There is both indoor and outdoor dining and we chose to sit outside on the patio which was pleasant on a balmy summer's evening. We looked at the wine... More

We went there with my husband's business associates and spouses and children. The room they had set aside for us was gorgeous. We had a set menu and all of the selections were very nice and full of flavor. They had some couches set up around a fireplace which made for the perfect place for the kids to hang out... More

We stumbled in here on our first night. A block off of State Street, so the vibe was much more casual than everything over there. Locals populated the place, excellent food and very good wine list. A good server was training a not-so-good beginner, but probably worth going there just to enjoy the historical ceiling.

Here you will find both the old school Calif menu and partly modern kitchen.European-style alfresco is a nice alternative to the somewhat drab décor of the wine bar.Nice and relaxed attitude of staff

We had house guests so we went here instead of the san Ysidro ranch or the el Encanto. We had drinks at the el Encanto for the view and then came here for dinner. We had just returned from France where I ate foie gras every day. I ordered the foie gras terrine, thinking it would be mixed with other... More

I had the seabass, it was dry, coworkers scallops were so salty she could only eat one. My husbands ribeye was pretty good though. Lava chocolate cake was dry also, as well as the chocolate chip cookie that had ice cream on it. Very pricy especially since it wasn't that good.

My dog and I enjoyed a patio luncheon at this noted place, and it was really an outstanding meal. The dog had fresh water delivered under the table, and I relished a slightly mexican flatbread with a glass of great chard. The service was so attentive...I am sure it was my cute dog, not me, that attracted one wait person... More
