The owner of our B & B (The Simpson House Inn) recommended this as the best sushi in the world, and said she had eaten sushi all over the world. I have eaten sushi all over New York, I am more limited I must admit, but she was right. It was amazing, and the menu very extensive. I would go... More

Fresh fish, unusual taste. I suggest you the rolls/uramaki (all good!). Nice place in the beautiful main street of Santa Barbara.

I'm a sushi lover and this was honestly the best sushi I have ever had. Everything was so fresh, and they had a great selection of different rolls that I have never tried. The restaurant does not take reservations, but I would recommend arriving as soon as they open. When we went there was a line, but we were able... More

Went back to this restaurant *just* to get the Magic Mushrooms sushi...and it didn't disappoint!!! We also tried the steak nigiri (YUM) and the Meditteranean roll (also YUM).

Loved finding this gem on State Street - faultless food. We enjoyed every mouthful. No booking is possible but we gave our name and only had to wait about half an hour for a table which gave us the chance to do a little shopping.

My wife and I visit SB a lot and this is one of our favorite spots. We love the gold shots (uni shooters) and carpaccio, when we sit at the bar, the sushi chefs give us whatever they think is best. Always a great meal!

First time dining here. Good points. Fish for sushi and sashimi of excellent quality. The toro sushi melted in my mouth and exploded with flavor. Nicely spiced edamame and pleasant tofu. Bad points - skip the tempura coated ice cream. It doesn't work. As might be expected the tempura was soggy. And no reservations so there WILL be a wait.... More

We ate here on a couples visit. We had been warned it might be hard to get in, but we only had 2 people and were seated right away at 6:30. The sushi was very good and fresh. We were happy with our meal, but it was by no means remarkable. Also, we didn't find the prices to be unreasonably... More

Be sure to sit at the sushi bar at this very busy place. Great food and beautifully presented. The Hamachi carpaccio was amazing but everything looked fantastic. They do not take reservations but it was not much of a wait. I would recommend Arigato to anyone. Jose was my favorite sushi chef - very nice and accommodating. I wish we... More
