The (possibly canned) beet salad rested on an enormous pile of arugula with a few pieces of cheese. Lightly dressed. Accompanied by not very fresh bread--super market quality. Try a different dish or go to another place in a nearby shopping center. Servers were attentive.

Go eat here. Locals know a good thing. Visiting friend. She lives here in gorgeous Santa Barbara. This is where she chose to take me. Low key and delicious 😋. Had the pork chops special. Great mixed salad and wine. Can’t go wrong. Comfortable and...lovely.More

Cafe Stella is popular for a reason. Expect a good-sized, nice but not super fancy room. Expect helpful and polite service. Expect a menu packed with traditional (stereotypical?) French favorites. I tried a BBQ pork sandwich. My wife did a quiche. Both were just fine....Sometimes we drive past this place and the parking lot is packed. I suspect we will return and give Cafe Stella another try.More

It took us nineteen years after this place opened to get there, and I must say it is in a very nice setting on a hill, with a large dining-room, comfortable chairs, and an inviting bar area. But it is a good thing i visited...the men's room after eating, as it was very, very worn and dirty. I reported this to the manager and she said she had already noticed it and would attend to it. But its unsavory condition betrays the crowded conditions that must occur there. The service and meal were good, if a bit pricey. We had a wonderful hot bucket of fries, the salmon salad and the beef sliders. All were good. Our Arnold Palmer drinks were frequently replenished, and overall I would give the place an average to slightly above average rating. It would be worth a try again at Happy Hour.More

We stopped off here on the road from Pismo Beach to Los Angeles. We were glad that we did so. The staff was very friendly and professional. And the food was very tasty. We started off with some turkey bites. There after we shared a turkey...burger with fries. Each component of our meal was delicious. There is plenty of free parking outside the restaurant. And this restaurant is apparently known for being very kid friendly and we found this to be the case. All along we were very satisfied and we will come back.More

They have an outdoor patio that is pet-friendly as well as indoor seating in the spacious and reasonably quiet restaurant with lots of available parking. The menu is extensive and leans toward French dishes, but there is something for everyone. I had a girls' lunch...here with my adult daughters. We all enjoyed the brie starter. I had the onion soup which was flavorful and full of gooey cheese (yum), but I prefer a thicker broth. I also had the moules mariniere (mussels),which they were kind enough to make with a cream sauce for me instead of the typical wine broth and I REALLY enjoyed it. My daughters ordered the lamb sandwich, which was big enough for two, but I thought the thinly sliced lamb had a somewhat strong flavor. We all enjoyed the specially crafted cocktails that were offered. It was a great outing for all of us. We'll be back and bring the dog next time!More

Our family went here just after Christmas and we were pleasantly surprised. Not sure why we waited so long to have dinner here! The ambiance was quite nice and the staff were very attentive with service and helpful when we had questions about the menu...items. The Christmas decorations were festive! One of our group had a large kale salad that was mouth-watering. Another family member had a tender pork chop with brussel sprouts, cooked to perfection. Yet another had a cup of the cream of mushroom soup and it was rich and delicious. One person in our family had a lamb burger and said it was very tasty. This Le Stella Cafe is not to be confused with the Stella Mare on Los Patos Way, down near the Bird Refuge. We will not hesitate to go back. Stella Mare's is priced competitively with other similar restaurants in this area. The ample parking lot was full, which is a good indication that people like this place!More

Separte entrance when you come with your dog. How's that for special service? Outdoor patio as well as inside seating. Parmeasan Truffle Fries are 'to die for' as they say. Worth paying a bit extra. Two folks can devour it or one really hungry person....The various brugers are also noteworthy. Enjoy.More
