This place is the real deal. It's a treasure and a treat to yourself when you discover, and it's also addicting. They only use good ingredients, none of that high corn fructose syrup. And for that, all of our bodies are thankful.

After a nice morning bike ride, we headed to Backyard Bowl for a filling, yummy breakfast and it did not disappoint. Service was super friendly, atmosphere was cool and the breakfast was delicious. I ordered the island bowl (regular size and it was a huge!! next time I'll order a Kids portion) Hubby got the regular Acai oatmeal bowl and... More

I visited here on a recommendation from a wine tour operator, of all things, and had a VERY good breakfast. The standard Backyard Bowl was a real winner but the power bowl was also outstanding. It's very expensive, though, with almost anything over $8 and plenty over $12.

Good for you....and the planet. I was impressed with the variety of offerings. I wound up getting the Tropical smoothie, and it had ginger, pineapple, and mango. It was soooo good. All the to-go cups were plant based too!

I ordered the berry bowl and my partner ordered the tropical bowl. A "small" is still huge; come hungry! The bowl is a very thick smoothie (consistency of frozen yogurt) topped with granola, fresh fruit, and other toppings specific to your chosen bowl. The combination of cold smoothie, crunchy granola, and fresh fruit is delicious!

We did a lot of heavy eating on our trip to Santa Barbara, so this spot gave us a refreshing relief. Their bowls are delicious. I will say though that we went multiple times, and they use under-ripe bananas almost exclusively. Not great. But other than that, I loved this place.

Fantastic place for an alternative and very healthy breakfast/lunch. With lots of types of shakes, breakfast bowls, fruit bowls, granola...some unusual combinations, but worked well. Place is buzzing and there is a small area to eat in if you chose, or you can order and take your healthy breakfast away.

Really, I just can't. It was however really fresh, tart and tasty. I took a small Island Bowl and it was more than enough to cover for lunch. Great taste, never tried acai before, but the smoothie tasted something like raspberries. Service was quick but there really wasn't any queue or anything either. Don't think it's spacious enough for more... More

Unfortunately they add too much processed sugar to their bowls. Fruit doesn't need added sugar so I'm not sure why they insist on making this sickeningly sweet. I wish they had a no sugar option but unfortunately they do not.
