Excellent food and wine. Service slow and lacking attention and personality,overall an ok experience but could be so much better.

Called and reserved an outdoor table. Hostess on phone assured us that we would be seated outdoor, party of 7 (including 3 children). As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very rude hostess that said outdoor reservations are not guaranteed. The...entire outdoor area was open as this was at 5pm on a Monday. Manager was rude and told us that reservations for outdoors are placed on not a first come basis, but rather time and date reservations are made. He said that open table automatically sets that based on when reservations are made. However open table does not take reservations for large parties. After questioning he continued to clearly lie and we can only assume that the restaurant had some sort of prejudice against us. When we decided to leave, the manager made a very inappropriate comment not “fit to print”.More

We reserved a table here based on good reviews. We enjoyed the food - seafood risotto and vegetarian pasta - but the service was poor. Our waiter didn’t seem interested in us, didn’t check on us etc, and for these prices I’d expect much better...service.More

We made reservations to celebrate our daughter's graduation. The food was a bit overpriced and underwhelming. The service was awful, water glasses remained empty and had to ask another server to send someone over. There are much better restaurants to try in Santa Barbara.

We surprised ourselves by ordering a simple dinner because I eyed someone else’s plate and it looked yummy. We ordered wine, a market salad with avocados and a margarita pizza with jamon Serrano and we’re not disappointed! Everything was fresh and the thin pizza crust...crispy. For dessert we had a chocolate bar which was decadent! All in all I would recommend this restaurant that is within a hotel across from the ocean.More

Beautiful restaurant! Bar is small but we dined outside. Our server was great - knowledgeable, friendly, attentive but not overbearing. The food though. WOW! Asparagus, lemon marscapone, hazelnut, and blood oranges. Does not make sense on paper. But you take one bite and say “Yes,...this is correct!” Brussels were delicious. The lamb meatballs stole the show. A fantastic meal!More

What a place! Fantastic food, fantastic location, excellent service and wonderful people all around. My wife and I were in town celebrating an anniversary and decided to have dinner at Convivo. This has to be one of the best restaurants in Santa Barbara. The food...is outstanding. Our server was Kayla and she was just a delight, really beautiful and very knowledgeable about the menu. We actually ate here a couple of times during our stay because it was so good. I highly recommend the pate, so delicious. We also had the mixed ocean entree and it was just fantastic, so great. Really fantastic service and food here all around, and it's right across from the beach so you can take a stroll after eating and work off all of those calories. I would like to say thanks to Kayla, Ernesto, Jaime, and the manager whose name escapes me but she's from New York and was super cool and really sweet. This is a wonderful place, not too stuffy, great ambiance, and the prices are very fair for the quality and service. Go check them out. A+More

We had 2 breakfasts and a dinner here as guests of the hotel. Highly recommend. Beautiful outdoor seating available. Lots of healthy and unique choices with great service.

We booked the Montecito Room for a private dinner for 42 family members. Through Kristina, our event planner, we were able to have such a classy , private setting where the bar area opened up into the courtyard. Antonio, who was in charge of our...event that day, as well as the Staff were so attentive and personable. They also accommodated special alcohol and meal requests. The food was so delicious and fresh that many of my friends and our international guests went to the restaurant for a different meal during our stay in Santa Barbara. The za'atar flatbread, the spit roasted chicken and the pizza appetizers were among the favorites. The restaurant exceeded our expectations in every category.More

We strolled to Reunion to have a drink by the water but didn't want to sit inside so popped into Convivo. After being seated immediately, our charming server, David wasted no time bringing/ opening our wine (much needed after driving 5 hours). He was delightful...and attentive but the real reward here is the food. Absolutely delectable. The beet salad with burrata is a work of art and the split roasted chicken with almonds and olives was the best I have ever had. Thankfully I refrained from licking my plate! If you stay in SB...do not miss this place. Such a memorable meal in a lovely and tranquil setting. It was a highlight for sure.More

We just went here out of the blue with our friends, staying next door at the Hilton Wow the appetizers were fantastic homemade hummus, and eggplant spreads on pita toasts from wood burning ovens. Pizza with chorizo and veggies again in the wood burning oven...Mixed seafood grill with octopus shrimp and seabass again char grilled with ppeppers Rib dish, and ground veal with pasta all memorable Desserts equally great, tiramisu and chocolate ganache bar incredible along with their cheesecake We we amazed with wine and drinks how reasonable the check was Most highest recommendationMore

Pizza, pastas and salads were all fresh and very good. Great location in the Santa Barbara Inn across from the ocean. Pasta with seaweed and shrimp was especially good!
