Hot dogs & hamburgers to with your wine. No thanks. Especially for the price. It's fine if you want beach food for your kids.

There are very few services between Carmel and San Simeon and those that exist are overwhelmed at least in July on the weekend. This poor little place was hosting like 500 people that all seemed to need to go to the bathroom when we at lunch at 3pm. It was about a 30 min wait/person. Our chili, hot dogs/brats and... More

Not sure if we went for wine tasting (Hearst Winery) or for the food! Both were delicious! As far as wine tasting, $10/$15 tasting fees which are waived with a 1 bottle purchase. Many different types, although surprisingly we chose the two Chardonnays (we're normally red wine fans). All were good though! Good cheeseburgers, quickly served, and the onion rings... More

Perfect place to come after the castle. We got our food quickly and at a good price. The burger and hotdog were big enough to share and didn't break our wallet. Sitting outside on a nice day, surrounded by people from everywhere imaginable and eating great food wasn't too much of a hardship at all.

Was told by a local to grab a quick bite at Sebastian's on my way to the elephant seals. It is across the street from Hearst Castle, same company. We ordered the fish taco and fish sandwich and fries. Loved the fries and fish. Just wished there was more fish in the sandwich. There is also wine tasting in the... More

This is mostly a wine bar but the cafe offers some really good hamburgers and awesome fish and chips. It can get really busy but they have added more outdoor seating. The old post office is still active and the original store has been around for over 100 years. Parking is very limited.

I stopped in after a visit to Hearst Castle and was shocked by just how good the burger was. I had read a bunch of good reviews but I was honestly just hungry and wanted something to eat but was blown away by the quality of the burger. The restaurant itself is small but there are some areas for outside... More

Seven of us ate lunch there and all of us loved our meals. I had the rockfish sandwich, others had the hamburger. All were very pleased. Just a short drive from the Elephant Seal Rookery or the Hearst Castle. Moderate prices, great quick service. Only one restroom which has a slow line at times. Beautiful location.

Be prepared to eat! Burgers so big that I wish I would have shared. We took outs to go and brought it down to the beach a few miles up the road. Got the avocado bacon burger and it was scrumptious! Yummy.

The chef asked us if we wanted Hearst beef or "the regular one with antibiotics". Weird question, but apparently some people prefer meat packed with chemicals. We opted for Hearst beef and the burger we got was massive, tasty and fresh. Highly recommended.
