This place is located in a converted house near the Mission in San Miguel. They are open only on weekends. The seating and service is family style, the menu is a fixed price menu. For one price you get about 8 wonderful courses. The menu is ever changing also. The paela was the star and it was some of the... More

This is such a fun and different thing to do. I love having dinner with a group of people I don't know and getting to break bread, drink wine and get to know each other. I figure... you are all already in wine country so you already have THAT in common! That will get the conversation rolling! The food is... More

We are from Florida and were in California following BOSTON on tour throughout the state. Stopped off for gas and saw the lil diner across the way and decided to check it out. Many times, out of the way diners tucked into a fold tend to be tasty so we went for it. There was such diversity in our group,... More

We did the communal dinner last night and I have to say, the chef and waitress were amazing. It was a multi-course meal for $35 per person, and the food was excellent and plentiful. Personal highlights- the tomato soup, potato bravas and pumpkin bread pudding (I may have also eaten my father-in-laws serving....soooo good). House wine was also quite nice... More

Unfortunately, this place is only open on the weekends, but the menu changes with whatever is available. It's family style and very friendly and the food is worth the drive!

We stopped here on a southbound trip on 101. It was a wonderful surprise. Only one menu is offered but the food is spectacular. Great squash soup, cabbage cilantro salad and chicken pot pie. It is tiny and idiosyncratic but great fun. After lunch we went to the Mission San Miguel which is just down the street, has original frescoes,... More

we sat on the patio for dinner. the place was packed. the service is "family style" the food was excellent. the wine flowed. Most come by tour bus or limo. we stayed nearby in the Western Inn (which I've nicknamed "the place towels go to die"). I wish I had come by tour bus or limo.

The food was delicious, the staff was fun and we had a blast with the people we met with the family style set-up. We brought wine and so did other people and we all shared. Very fun!!

Dallas, the owner put up with our rather crazy group of Car People for a fabulous dinner. We were stuffed to the gills on fabulous food! This place is fantastic!!! I'm sorry there are only 5 stars available. The only minor complaint is about the bill. There is no price list, even for wines and with our large group (25),... More

From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcoming staff who are going to treat your senses through the entire meal! There is no menu, but no worry, the food is spectacular. We were there with a group of 40 and we were entertained with the passing of the bota bag, a treat not to be... More
