This is the first time I have reviewed a grocery store, but that is because this is really so much more. It is a foodie paradise. They have a terrific bakery, wonderful cheese selections, an outstanding wine selection.....you get the idea. It is a grocery store for gourmands, priced as such, but they deliver the real thing.

I always enjoy walking around this store. Many interesting foods, great gluten free selection, excellent bakery. Dinning decor items upstairs, & wedding gifts are fabulous. However, I feel that the take-out food is over-rated. It's average instead of great. I do enjoy meeting friends in the coffee area/bakery though.

The service was good, the presentation of the food was good, wine was good. The market price steak was the toughest , not trimmed, lots of grizzle. The sauteed greens were like straw and inedible. Definitely not worth our 200$ dinner for 2

We went to the deli and ordered some tea sandwiches and coos coos. Everything was healthy tasting. Prices were reasonable considering the quality. I also purchased a pre-made ham and cheese sandwich which was very tasty. Would recommend for a quick to go lunch.

Always love to go to Draeger's and soak in the sights and smell of a historical shopping place and not the crowded big supermarkets that have no originality. The pastry area was so enticing, our teens had eyes bigger than their tummies, they just wanted to order a lot of treats! They were pricey so we didn't get to buy... More

This is a wonderful place to shop for food that you can't find anywhere else. Otherwise it is pretty overpriced, the clerks are sometimes not getting along with each other, and the patrons tend to be a bit snooty. The upstairs has all the kitchen gadgets you can imagine and some lovely wedding gifts. Haven't eaten at the restaurant(s) -... More

Every grocery store should learn from Draeger's. An experience you won't forget in San Mateo. Great wine selection, beautiful fruit and veggies, but the desserts are the treat!!! A wonderful young lady suggested some special desserts for us and they were the best ever. Paradise for cooks and those who appreciate finding everything needed for a wonderful meal in one... More

Wow, we stumbled across this place and were in awe. I would love to have a place like this at home. Top quality food and a huge variety. The prices are higher than at home, but it is San Mateo.

We stopped and went grocery shopping at Draeger's. Its a higher end grocery store so we usually find wonderful things there we do not find at other markets. We also find their bakery, meat department, fruit and vegetable area superb. Prices are a bit higher than your average store, but one pays for quality at Draegers. Its one of the... More

It be a total white peoples all rich type of place, but the produce is tight and the choices be fun and it's nice to shop at a place where there ain't food stamp people.
