I came with a group of friends (3 of us), arrived at 11:40AM and was told the wait was about 30 minutes. We left a phone number for a text when our table was ready (convenient right?!). I was so mad because I wanted to...go get some boba during this wait. And we got a text when I was a block away from Urban Ritual that our table was ready, and it took more like 20 minutes. In case you are wondering, yes, I got boba after. We were seated immediately upon return, and we ordered a beets and goat cheese salad ($14 pricey because it was a salad, but the dressing was refreshing and there were a good amount of goat cheese, beets and oranges), smoked salmon eggs Benedicts with potato patties (delicious, potato patties can be crispier but in general the ingredients worked well together), and chilaquiles (surprisingly my favorite, such good flavor thanks to the generous amount of butter I tasted).More

The salads here are fresh and light. One can add shrimp, chicken or salmon to any salad. The fried chicken stack is surprisingly good. I noticed that there are interesting breakfast items on the menu. Definitely want to come back and try them out. The...servers are very friendly and pleasant.More

Nice decor-Excellent service-wait staff pleasant-delicious clean, hot food. No rush to turn the table. Convenient parking. Would go again! Brunch will hold us until dinner for certain! The Benedict’s we chose were delish! Hubby had the one with salmon, crepe fraiche in potato pancakes with...a mocha. All came hot & hardy. They switched out additional potatoes for fruit for us both. I went vegan-avocado, tomato, egg-excellent! If you are in the area, try it!More

My wife & I had Sunday brunch at Three & we found this restaurant to be wonderful. Seems like most breakfast spots are closing, so it was nice to find Three. The restaurant was full, but we were seated quickly. Tina was our server &...she was great. Nice smile, very friendly. Made sure my coffee cup was always full. BTW, the coffee was excellent. My wife had the Chicken & Waffle Sandwich, while I had the Corned Beef Hash. Both dishes were very good & the portions were large. We both took home our leftovers. Reviewing the menu, I saw several dishes I would like to try in the future. Some days you feel like having a good breakfast & Three has good breakfast choices. We'll be back & I can't wait.More

Nice entrance and classy look from the sidewalk, but we got sent to a table in the back room, which I think doubles as a sports bar. The TV was on (muted), but loud music was blaring and the acoustics were terrible. The food was...rather nice, but a little mushy. Tasty flavors though. Our server was very sweet but try as she might, the restaurant absolutely could not handle anything custom. Two of the four of us had minor custom requests. Both arrived wrong, and took substantial time to correct: One of us ordered toast with his meal, which came after we were all done eating. Another ordered the standard spinach with her dish, but it came without: It then took about 15 minutes to get spinach added on a side plate. I expected a gesture of a small discount on the bill for messing up two of our four orders, but none was offerred.More

We were a large group for dinner and the was a new place for us to try. The atmosphere was lively and noisy. It was hard to have a conversation with folks at the table. The waitress was very attentive and prompt. I ordered the...Chicken Cacciatore it was very good. My colleague had the new York steak which I tried and wished I had steak instead. Another friend had the fried chicken stack which I do NOT recommend. We also had desert. the best deal was the flight of desert which you had Crème Brulee, Warm Guittard Chocolate Cake and Banana split Éclair all wonderful end to the meal. Very good wine selection but expensive. I would recommend.More

Nice canteen style in a great location in downtown San Mateo. The ambience was fine. The servers maybe need a bit more training. The food was OK but not outstanding. The wine was a bit too expensive but I won’t be ordering it again. The...bill was surprisingly high.More

Three Restaurant was a new try for a group visiting the area on business. The restaurant is nicely appointed, open and fresh. The staff are very attentive and engaging. There were three of us in our party and we started with the Three Inferno, a...pan fried gruyére, served flambé at your table. It was really tasty and not your average appetizer. I was in the mood for a great burger and had one. The 3 Grind Burger is a blend of brisket, short rib & sirloin. and comes topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, house made pickles & secret sauce. I chose the salad as a side and it was fresh and very good. One other in our party had the fried chicken stack. It's a crispy, savory buttermilk, brined, boneless chicken stacked on top of mash, gravy. It looked and heard it was amazing. We'll definitely come back again.More

First time there. Father's Day. Very crowded in early morning. Service was very good as was food. Parking a little tough but found a space on street. Prices average.
