We went to North Beach Pizza in San Mateo for Italian food. I had fettucine Alfredo which was very good and the portion was huge.My wife had Chicken Marsala which was also very good and huge portion. We both had a salad which was also a very good portion. It was very good value and the service was very good.

They have an amazing pizza selection...or build your own! We had the Coit Tower, but had it with pesto sauce instead of tomato! So good! And the crust was so yummy!! The staff is really sweet and helpful! And they cover for each other so you don't have to waitfor your server, they all help each other! I love restaurants... More

Pizza is very good- and FAST. Very friendly service. Thin to medium crust. Try an option with pesto- very good. Several vegetarian option and vegan. All the usual combinations as well. Nice, clean, casual location.

Popped in here last minute. Pretty quiet spot. 2 screens with music in the background. We ordered a personal pizza, minestrone soup and a side of meatballs. Food and drinks came very quickly. Portions were a nice size and not too large. Soup was good. The meatballs were tasty and the marinara sauce was very satisfying. The personal pizza was... More

My family and I enjoyed pizza in downtown San Mateo. The toughest part of the experience was finding parking on a Tuesday night. Surprising since it was a Tuesday night. PIzza, Caesar Salad, Spaghetti with Meatballs. All dishes were tasty in my opinion. The only "beef" I had is the price. A bit higher than I would have expected.

Ok, good news, bad news. The bad news is that traffic in downtown san mateo can be bad and getting worse. The good news is that this pizza is worth it ! The texture, the flavors, it is simply DAMN good pizza. I am a fan ever since I lived in the City and would cross town for a couple... More

Used to be a favorite. New owners. Portions still large. Staff friendly. Now Pizza is very expensive, esp. Gluten Free Pizza, though I am glad it is offered. They would not accommodate my Gluten Free needs for other dishes including shrimp scampi or veal with mushrooms. My friend enjoyed eggplant parmisan. Although I can walk there, I will not rush...
