We had a group of ten for a party and it was our first time there. A bit pricey but food and service were both great. Several different meals and everyone thought they were delicious. Will go back. Would give it 4.5 of 5 if available.

Tasty cowboy ribeye on the bone $42, but it really didn't look like an 18 ounce steak. Cooked right, medium rare. Waiter over-friendly/presumptuous (thought he was a comedy club Henny Youngman, but some of the insult comedy was funny and he was a nice man in his way. Risky with business customers at a steakhouse) In the end it was... More

Great traditional steakhouse that I had never heard of before finding it here. And I live a half mile away! Does not have a storefront on the street, so you have to know it is there. Specialty is dry-aged steaks, which were terrific. Also has excellent service. Loved the truffle oil mac and cheese. Also tried their tagliatelle ragu, which... More

I am working in the area south of San Francisco and some colleagues and I wanted to find a good steak to eat. We were going to travel 45 minutes south but was pointed in the direction of the Porterhouse. When you walk in from 3rd Ave it is in the back of a building and you begin to wonder... More

Everything was delicious! Dined here with a friend on April 6th. We both ordered the Cowboy Steak which came with a tasty Baked Potato and Vegetables. The Cowboy Steak is huge. I also ordered a Bleu Cheese Salad, a Cosmopolitan from the bar and at the end of dinner...Bread Pudding to go. Porterhouse is expensive but definitely worth it. The... More

My party of 9 ate at the Porterhouse Restaurant on Christmas Eve. The atmosphere, staff, and service were all great. However, my $42 rib eye steak was pretty much flavorless. My wife also had the rib eye and felt the same. We were very disappointed in the steak, especially since it was the cut recommended by our server. I've had... More

Hosted a birthday party for ten people. Our square table(perfect for a large group) was set in a lovely room surrounded with glass and lots of candles. The food was delicious and the service was very good, other than the one latecomer received his food ten minutes before the rest of us. Seemed odd. Overall, they did a great job.... More

Really nice restaurant and bar. They serve great dry aged steaks prepared to perfection. If you have never tried a dry aged steak this would be a good place to start. The french onion soup was delicious. We were in with a group and they provided a super bruchetta (sp) , good chicken wings and a very nice cheese plate... More
