The food was alright. The service was less than adequate. They need to expand their menu with vegetarian options for those people who don't eat meat (like me).

First visit there. Server was excellent. Food is average. Went early & not real busy. When leaving they were getting very busy. Easy free parking.

I had Caesar salads although my friends had pizzas. The taste was good. There was lots of noise as it is meant for large gatherings. Seating arrangements are good.

I had the giant meatball and spaghetti dinner. It was ok. The meatballs are so so on flavor and size. The sauce was a little spicy and I like that but that was the bulk of flavor. The service was ok and it took a while to get a refill on my ice tea. I have eaten at another Bj's... More

We ate here while staying at the nearby Best Western Coyote Point. The beer selection was great as were the appetizers. I would eat here again.

Delicious meal, but small portions. Reasonable prices. Great service. Very attentive staff. A bit noisy for a business luncheon. Clean.

This is the only restaurant in San Mateo open till 1AM. It's casual and most of the time you get good service. They have a happy hour that goes till 10:30 most nights. My fav are the deep dish pizzas individual size...yum.

Waiting at the entrance in horrible. unmanaged, crowded, while the restaurant is 50% empty. Food, on the other hand was good, Baby back ribs were one of the best I ever had - falling off the bone, mouth watering and a very nice portion

Have been to BJ's in San Mateo many times. It's a solid, decent restaurant, that tends to be very busy at lunch time and the service can be mixed. Sometimes good, sometimes very slow, overworked and a little grumpy. The food however is always okay, but the wait can be annoying. If you have the extra time to wait for... More

We ate there for several business lunches. Very good food, excellent number of selections, good value for the money. Will definitely go back.
