Clam chowder in a bowl...GET IT! And for dessert or breakfast, grab a handmade pastry, loaf of bread or anything that might be left! Amazing bakery!

I live in SF and enjoy a nice clam chowder bread bowl. Splash is my new found favorite. It's thick and creamy so yummy!! Ask about the 5 different toppings you can add which I found out after my order was in

Superb clam chowder, as everyone knows, but other offerings are consistently fresh and satisfying. The dessert case is highly tempting for anyone who isn't diabetic.

My family loves Splash Cafe and usually have to make a visit at the Pismo location when we're there. We were impressed with how nice the SLO location looked!! Loved the clam chowder as usual. My teen ordered a lemon bar and was not impressed. She ended up trashing it. It also took a long time to get our food.... More

Love the second location. Just as good as the original minus the crowds. Still not very spacious but with less people it's not bad. If your in the mood for a good chowder this is the place to go.

This restaurant was recommended by a local and it did not disappoint. I had a 1/2 salami sandwich which was surprisingly excellent and the clam chowder. Next time I will try the fish tacos. Highly recommend.

Partner and I needed a quick meal on an overnight in SLO. Saw this place was highly rated on TA so walked the 5 blocks from our lodgings to partake. Order at the counter, but good luck finding a seat inside, which is limited to a half dozen small tables (parties of 4 or less). Plenty of outside tables, but... More

Best clam chowder in a bowl. Nice fresh. It was a very busy day. Pastries looks amazing. Nicely decorated. The chocolate covered items looks very inviting. Job well done.

Had never been there for breakfast but glad we did, I had the pancakes, they were thin, flaky and delicious! There was a young man who worked there who told me about how they make the bread bowls there for the splash In Pismo, I did not know this, so I learned something new!

Splash Cafe ~ Artisan Bakery is located in San Luis Obispo, CA. In 2005, we opened this second location in San Luis Obispo and expanded to include an artisan bakery too! The bakery features artisan breads, pastries & desserts baked fresh daily. Each item from the bakery is carefully created and guaranteed to delight your senses. The café has a larger selection of salads and specialty sandwiches as well as signature ‘sun pizzas’! Come and enjoy!
