We were excited when this site opened as have always loved the cafe in Pismo Beach. This one has totally changed the theme of "beachside seafood" to "cozy cafe" where you want to linger awhile and visit over some scrumptious chowder, a sandwich or perhaps one of their wonderful bakery items. Still the same great service. We like to sit... More

Had the egg breakfast sandwich. Everything seemed to come from the freezer and heated up, except the bread. It was also kind of pricey for what I got. The hash browns are also called tater tots (fresh from the bag), but you get a lot of them.

Six of us for breakfast. Had to try the much hyped clam chowder and were quite disappointed. It simply was not very good. Other items were passable but orders were mixed up and two were simply forgotten till we asked

Great food, coffee and service . You won't be disappointed. Baked goods made on the premises and you can watch.

Went for dessert at about 8:30 pm. Wanted a coffee and a sweet, but the selection was very poor. So we left without really trying anything. Not what we expected based another reviews. May try again if back in SLO.

My mother, sister and I were on a recent road trip to San Luis Obispo and the nearish beach towns. On our first night, we looked to Tripadvisor for restaurant recommendations, and came up with Splash. I'm glad we went there. They have a small off-street parking lot, so parking wasn't an issue. The place itself is very informal -... More

We visited Splash several times on a recent trip to SLO, as their clam chowder is exceptional. We can't live on a steady diet of clam chowder (or can we???), so we decided to try other items. First, we tried the daily special.. the Aloha burger. It was tasty. Hubby ordered the 1/2 turkey club, which wasn't very good, with... More

Well worth the usual wait for sandwiches and soups. Their bakery products are also delectable. This was my go to lunch spot when I went to school nearby. I loved the clam chowder on a cool day! It is hard to park, so be prepared, and there is almost always a line at noon! Take out is a great option... More

I had a toasted cheese sandwich here. It was absolutely drenched in butter which is not to my taste but I understand this might be something Americans like. The cakes and pastries looked nice but I didn't get a chance to go back and try them.

You can spend $30+ for breakfast at Apple Farm, or under $13 here at Splash Cafe. Nothing fancy, and breakfast items end at like 10 am, but I love the atmosphere at this place. Looks like it's owned by some old hippies and the employees are all young students, but all very pleasant and friendly. Pretty amazing variety in the... More
