Just tried Luna Red's "Oyster Wednesday" and thoroughly enjoyed the fresh succulent raw oysters, impressive drinks and outstanding service!

I had the butter lettuce salad and my husband had the Cuban sandwich. While my salad was good, I did not think it was worth $13 but my husband LOVED his Cuban.

Unique Spanish restaurant wit tapas and mostly small plates. However, the paella is amazing. Should give it a try. The "Tequila Verde" margarita is amazing!! Very nice patio and open firepit.

Stopped in for a Happy Hour snack. The red wine was delicious - the portions were very small. Which is actually a plus for me!

We love this restaurant -- wish we had one back home just like it. Very interesting cocktail menu with lots of unusual ingredients. The tapas/small plate menu had lots of choices. We loved the roasted figs, the lamb rolls, and the beets. Save room for the olive oil cake -- although, really, I loved the chocolate cake too. The outdoor... More

Found this gem while stopping in S.L.O. to visit the mission. Happened to roll in just at Happy Hour (3-6 daily and all day on Thursday). They have a great selection of small plates for $5 at the bar and high tops. We've tried the short rib tacos and black bean and rice fritters in avocado-pepita pesto sauce. Delicious. For... More

I've eaten at Luna Red several times. All were excellent dining experiences. Taco Tuesdays is amazing! The Pork shoulder tacos and the fish tacos were my favorites. They also had a taco of the day - avocado and egg salad - no, that's not a typo. It was absolutely yummy - and a lovely surprise! The house-made lemonade with agave... More

Hip restaurant with inside or outside dining. It was a little cool outside when we went so we ate inside, but the patio looked fun. The service was generally good, and the food was tremendous. We split several small plates and also ordered a few entrees. All the tapas were excellent (to my surprise, the tacos were my favorite). Here's... More

For the amount of effort they demanded of me to make this reservation after our son's graduation from Cal Poly, I would have expected maybe a little service and enough staff to do what restaurants are supposed to do. I was in tears over the blatant disregard for the elderly grandparents needing to sit while we waited in the bar... More

The paella was delicious, and a good choice for sharing with friends. I liked the setting, right over the creek; had been waiting a while for this place to open its doors. Glad we came.
