Intimate restaurant

Wanted a nice restaurant to take my daughter to celebrate her Birthday. The day was rainy outside with unusual El Nino bringing greatly needed rain. We went for lunch and there was not another patron? I ordered Dunganess Crab Cakes, my daughter had a salad, and my wife had soup and quiche. Another... read more

We arrived right after they closed for lunch and thought we would have to return at another time, but the owner came out and said to come on in! We are so glad we did. We have been searching for some authentic German food for some time and found it here. My wife had the saurbraten and I had bratwurst.... More

The meal did not disappoint!. A lovely selection of German entrées. Plus a full fine dining menu. Great and friendly service and easy piano music. Definitely plan to come again

European atmosphere, VERY good food and drinks!! Outdoor patio in a quiet setting. I have eaten lunches and dinners there and always loved the food. They have live piano music in the evening sometimes. The staff are friendly and good.

Disappointed in our Valentine Dinner. Expected more European fare but was just the ordinary food I could have had at any steak house. Not much on ambiance either - we were seated next to a table of 16 on what was to be a romantic evening.

A great find in San Juan Capistrano. Quiet and delicious. The best dumplings! We really enjoyed the music.

I came here for a weekday lunch in April. I was pleased to find plentiful free parking in the adjacent lot. I sat outside on their patio, which was lovely, with a fountain, umbrellas over the tables to shield from the sun, and a really cool mosaic accent wall. But that is where the positives stopped. The waiter was sullen... More

It's not often that you find a good European/German restaurant anymore, and this accidental find, really hit all the right marks. The room itself is nice, comfortably quaint,at the backside of a complex and parking lot. (A bit mom-and-dad-ish,our teenager thought, but that's not a bad thing!) The service was attentive and warm, in spite of the fact that the waitress... More

Intimate restaurant with excellent food. They always have unique items to try for the adventurous, like alligator or frog legs to name two. Great service well priced

Great lunch with German and Austrian selections. My Beef Stroganoff was delicious with perfect seasonings and sour cream. My friend's Spaetzel was right on. The chocolate cake dessert was scrumptious, which rounded out a delightful meal. With their perfectly prepared selections, the homemade lemonade and the attentive service, we shall be back to this quaint, charming restaurant. If you are... More
