I have a large group that has a large function every summer here. The venue is wonderful - very quaint. Not much parking. Service has always been good to excellent. Food is OK, not great. People love the chips and salsa.

This was hands down the best chili Colorado I've ever eaten. Generous portions too & I brought half home. Very light tortilla chips and mild salsa. Have the charro beans instead of standard refried. The Cadillac Margarita was....Cadillac. Very quaint, old Mexico type atmosphere and good service. Knew nothing about the place before dining but discovered was a favorite dining... More

My friends and I just visited Mission San Juan Capistrano and wanted to round out the visit with real good Mexican lunch. The suggestion by the Mission staff didn't disappoint. The restaurant, which is just down the main road, has this good feel and vibes complete with historical significance. It is said that it used to be a courthouse with... More

Restaurant reeks of history in terms of its location one block from San Juan Capistrano Mission and fact it was a frequent hangout for Richard Nixon during times he was vacationing in his San Clemente Whitehouse (even have a combination plate on the menu listed as the favorite catered dish at events held by the Nixons). Salsa is not overly... More

Don't order the pinot noir. Should of had a margarita. Food was pretty good. Atmosphere is nice, really like the feeling you get being by the mission. Had the carne aside tacos and they were good. Would go back again.

Waiters here care that you enjoy your dining experience - very good Mexican fare and excellent drink selections. Wine selection is the only "miss" here. Lot's of good history as President Nixon called it one of his favorites.

I have been coming here since I was a child. The food and service is always good. This is a nice place to bring out of town guest. Weekends usually seem to have a wedding reception going on, where we were sitting Friday night we could look out to the patio and watch the people at the wedding having a... More
