I was invited by friends who wanted to show me this restaurant. The food was really very good. It comes very quickly which isn,t a plus for me but it,s really very tasty en well served

Loving the décor as always, very nice touch of home away from home. Fulfilled my char kuey teow craving (again!) and they make pretty good ones here, best served with their (hot!) sambal sauce, with a side of Malaysian ice tea ("teh ais"), and fried banana fritters with ice cream and melted brown sugar for dessert (what we know as... I'd rate them a 0 if that was possible. This was our first time and the food was mediocre at best. We had the Roti Canai, Sarang Mango Chicken, Egg Chow Fun, and Chicken Rendang. The Roti Canai was the best dish. It's fried dough with a curry sauce. It's hard to mess up fried dough and the curry sauce... More

Did take out. The restaurant is a bit rundown on the outside, but small and quaint inside. Tried the roti, satay, sizzling beef, garlic kangkung, garlic eggplant. We enjoyed the sizzling beef and garlic eggplant which were both flavored well. The satay was tender and well-flavored. The garlic kangkung was a bit salty.

Had the assam laksa & kari mee (curry noodle soup). If you can have the freshest chicken, freshly ground spices, fish, cockles, it would be just like home cooking in Malaysia. Short of that this is the next best thing. Delicious, economical, attentive service. Will be back to try the large menu. Just wished we live closer.

A small and very popular restaurant... dishes are Malaysian, Asian, Singaporean, Pan Asian, Fusion food at its best. Early arrival for dinner on the weekends is advised to avoid the wait. (5:30-6:00 PM) Service is good and the food is varied and tasty. We have tried many of the menu items... The Roti Canai is always a great start. Roti... More

If you're wondering where all the MSG is since so many restaurants have stopped using it, wonder no more, it's at Layang Layang. Everything we ordered had it. If you decide to go anyway, which I don't know why anyone would with so many other choices in the area, there's a few dishes to stay away from. Ripoff #1- Sarong... More

The place is small, so often there's a long line. Pretty good food, Roti Canai sauce and price is better than all other Malaysian restaurants in the area. Pad Tai is good, Seafood in Taro nest and princess tofu are good, the mee/noodles are so-so.

One of our family's favorite place. The food is great, good service and friendly staff. There are two locations but San Jose is the original. Definitely order the roti, probably get your own as you won't want to share.
