About
Taurinus Brazilian Steakhouse is a Rodizio style steakhouse. Rodizio is a popular Brazilian-style barbecue -- a continuous table service of a wide variety of different cuts of beef, pork, lamb, and chicken that are spiced and slowly cooked on special grills to preserve their natural juices and flavors. Your meal also includes unlimited visits to the gourmet buffet, which offers a selection of fresh vegetables, seafood, imported cheeses, and unique salads plus delicious Brazilian hot dishes. But that's not all -- fried yuca, fried bananas, and warm Brazilian cheese bread are also served to your table.

As someone who likes to grill in the summer there are differences between using a gas grill versus and open fire grill. One of the benefits of a gas grill is it's not as dirty as an open fire grill. However you can smell and taste the smoky flavor on an open fire grill. On a Sunday in January during the NFC Playoff Game between the Vikings and Saints I came here to eat for a Sunday Brunch. There are two benefits of coming here on for a Sunday Brunch. First there are more meat selections than on a weekday lunch. (Granted you might not get as many items during the brunch as in dinner.) Second you can find parking around the area unlike if you come here during the evening. Inside the restaurant is a cozy place to eat. Any good Brazilian steakhouse has to start with the picanha. Even though I like my steak medium rare the best part of the picanha is the outside edge as it has that salty, crusty texture. The picanha here had that texture. When it comes to the smoky flavor you can really taste it on chicken drumstick as chicken is a lighter meat then beef. The drumstick at Taurinus had that smoky smell that made it standout more than any drumstick I had at a Brazilian steakhouse. The other item that also enhanced the smoky flavor was the linguica. I am not an expert but white meat like chicken and pork that I had at Taurinus Brazilian Steakhouse absorbed the smoky flavor better than the red meat like steak and lamb. That doesn't mean I didn't like the steak and lamb at Taurinus because I did. One unique item that stood out was the tri-tip with provolone. I've had steak with blue cheese. Sometimes I feel the blue cheese doesn't add flavor but overpowers the steak. The provolone on the other hand compliments the steak. Unfortunately one of the items not served during Sunday brunch or weekday lunch is the beef ribs. However with the items that I enjoyed eating such as the chicken drumstick, linguica, and tri-tip with provolone I can't wait until I taste the beef ribs cooked in an open fire grill.

We were hoping to go to a similar style national chain type Brazilian steakhouse, but they did not have a reservation at the time that we are looking for. This one did have an opening, and it did not disappoint. One of us had not been to the style of steakhouse before. The other two are our frequent visitors to this style of dining. I thought this was the best Brazilian steakhouse that I have been to, and we have visited many around the country, and are very picky. My wife thought this was equal to the other ones that we had been to. Our third guest enjoyed every moment of it, and had no expectations as he had never been to one before. The dining starts with deep fried plantains, polenta, and cheesy bread. Each one is very unique. I thought the cheesy bread was the best out of any Brazilian steakhouse that we have been to. The Pallente was nice and crisp, the fried plantains were so so. I personally did not enjoy them. The others in our party did enjoy those. They do not do mashed potatoes at this place. The meat comes in at a very appropriate pace. I felt like there was always meat coming in in groups of two. I believe they had 14 to 16 different varieties of meat they came by. Each one has a different flavor and way of bringing it to you. The flank steak was amazing. They had chicken wings that were smoked to perfection! They had a full bone in ribeye that they carded out on a big tray, and shaved pieces off for you. Absolutely amazing. That was unique that they did not have that at other similar steakhouses. All of the other individual meats had their own little touch, some better, some similar, some, maybe not as good, specifically the Picanha. The salad bar was wonderful. Exactly what you would expect. Good variety of items, some unique flavors, they also had a paella bar next to it, with some other hot dishes. The whole restaurant is very small, almost a size, where you think it will be hard to have good meat coming by on a continuous basis, and I was just blown away by how warm and frequent the meats were. The piece was just perfect. I did not feel like they were rushing us, and the service was amazing. $60 per person to dine, Similar to other Brazilian steakhouses, and the food did not disappoint. We will definitely come back here again, and this would be my go to choice first.

Very disappointed by entire experience. School cafeteria level of food. Meet is dry and oversalted. Salad bar looks sad I am not sure who wrote all these glowing reviews but my personal experience was completely different

This is a small scale Brazilian Steakhouse. The location is good, and the size of the restaurant makes it quaint. The salad bar is exceptional—and probably the highlight. The meat was good, but not outstanding especially for the price and expectations. The service was very good and personable. Wine selection was a bit light. The bar selection was above average—had Basil Hayden bourbon but not Blanton’s.

First time ever at a brazilian steakhouse where beef is cut in front of you. I know. Skip the chicken and do not go crazy at the salad bar. Yelp reviews indicate that the grilled pineapple is to die for. Ok.... Overall, just ok. The sirloin was excellent. The pork too dry. The other beef cuts were average. Nothing to write home about. Thursday lunch where we were the only customers for a while. That should say it all. Probably would not come back. Not wowed. Service was excellent though.

It was easy to make a luncheon reservation for March 17. The ambience is nice, restrooms are clean but parking could be a pain, street parking. We were the first and there were only about 5-6 more tables occupied when we left an hour later. Since there were only two tables being served for the first 15 minutes from opening tome, the carver came out every 2 minutes or so. It was pretty fast but we ended up finishing our meat fast and that was a mistake. We could have switched to the red button to slow down and enjoy the meat. There were three of us and we all had our favorites. By 12:30 my husband was full because he ate fast. The salad bar was disappointing, the hot meal was not to our liking either. I guess the paella is served at dinner. Dessert and drinks were add-ons. Not so happy with our server who apparently did not understand my question when I asked if soda was refillable and she said yes. When it was served in a bottle and can and I verified, she said no it was not refillable. My husband an I just looked at each other. I missed the service with a smile considering the place was not busy . I had to repeat several times that we were celebrating our son's birthday, wasn't sure if they sing a happy birthday or what. The carvers were better, they were always smiling and they were very good in what they do. Good to try for the experience, $34.95 per head is a bit expensive so I was expecting a better service. We do not have to do this again.

Loved this place. Great people, food, location, and the price is about what this kind of restaurant would charge. I'm from Brazil so I know a thing or two about the churraco. Highly recommend this restaurant. BTW, I loved the picanha, charcoaled outside meat, not the pink inside meat. :)

I watched at TV show on PBS that discussed this restaurant so we attended in October of this year. Wow wow and wow. The food was amazingly tasty. The buffet of salads, rice, peppers were extraordinary. Great selection and variety at the buffet. The meats were tasty. The wait staff was outstanding. A lot of personal attention was given to the diners. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion. The flan was delicious as well and there were these great cumari peppers that grow wild in the Amazon. The grilled pineapple was amazing. Very nice and highly recommend.
