Damn.
And by "damn" I mean, "Please shove as many as you can as fast as you can into my empanada hole."
I'll tell you when to stop.
This place is legit. We tried a sampling of six and they were all delish. They will warm them up for you so eat them there outside or get bolt home and hide in your closet and devour them before your family or dog notices you're home.

This Colombian Empanadas place has very flavorful and carefully prepared South American delicacies. After buying literally one of every empanadas that they had, we can conclude they are ALL good, but the beef and potato, chicken and potatoes, and ham and egg (breakfast) empanadas really stand out. They were our favorites. The small size is inexpensive compared to the quantity and quality of ingredients, and 2 or 3 is pretty much all you can eat in one sitting. They only take about 10 minutes at 350 degrees in your toaster oven and they’re ready to eat and the flaky crust is perfect.

This is a Columbian bakery that has a wide variety of excellent empanadas. Very reasonably priced and a delicious snack or meal. Lots to choose from. I recommend the pizza or beef empanada but I’m sure the others are fantastic as well.

OVERALL: Intimate, South San Jose Colombian bakery serving up tasty, meat-filled, empanadas with a friendly staff to serve you. Good for breakfast or lunch.
FOOD: Meat-to-pastry ratio heavily favors meat. Meat contents are savory but not overwhelming. Pastry crust is thin and has a good crisp at the ends.
SERVICE: Friendly greeting and fast to serve.
TIPS & TRICKS:
* Parking: Plenty as they are located in the Petco stripmall.
* 9AM: No line and plenty of seating indoors and outside

This is a gem not hidden as all the Branham high schoolers know it. Easy parking Hugh lot
But the food and drink is worth any distance for driving A small indoor eatery but the staff are friendly talkative and engaging. This is a mom and pop shop since 2014 and the many empanadas choices are all from. Grandma home recipes. Now the drinks are from native fruits most of which you’ll need to return for to taste and try. Mom and pop are still working the back and there are home made ice creams as well My pic and choice pineapple ham and egg... perfect and the flavor topping is also tasty and perfect additional flavors. And they make home made hot chocolate. It’s a perfect place to sit talk relax with two cushion seats and books for all ages to read. Take my word you will not be disappointed when you come and feast then you’ll be back as there are so many flavors to enjoy both in drink and in its thousand layers empanadas.

Brought my brother and his family here from Seattle during their visit as one of our fave local spots serving food you just can't get elsewhere. He agreed. Super yum. I want to master empanadas but I know I won't hit it. And why bother when milohas is here?!

The restaurant specializes in Colombian empanadas . They are small, friendly, you can eat in or carry out and eat at home after you heat their pastries up. I tried several different kinds because my friend brought them to Mah Jong . They were great munch so had to try the different types .
These are not inexpensive at around $4.00 each as an average. They serve killer quinoa mushroom empanadas, all kinds of meat, sweet guava paste rolls as well as macuya/ passion fruit mousse .
I liked them all . The problem was that I was told to preheat the oven and cook for eight minutes . Not long enough; they were not hot all the way through. The mousse was fab as were the guava rolls. But not all of the empanadas heated through properly . When one reheats something that was fried, it needs to be heated thoroughly to avoid greasiness.
The service was friendly ; the restaurant was very clean . I will go back and eat there rather than take out the next time.

Finally a Colombian restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area. With my husband, we had made the trip to San Jose many times to enjoy some empanadas, arepas, deditos de guayaba and natural juices with fruits you only find in Colombia; my favorite is jugo de lulo. It is a family business; we met one of the owners in one of our visits and were impressed by her professionalism.

Delicious! We tried the beef and chicken empanadas, with the passion fruit juice, mantecada and guava fingers. Everything was really good. Great atmosphere. A lovely place to have an afternoon coffee with friends/family.

If you like good empanadas, I highly recommend you try Milohas. My family likes their savory chicken and beef and the sweet Guava fingers. My favorite is mushroom quinoa. I usually ask for extra Aji (Columbian salsa) for added zest. The owner is very nice and helpful.

Had ground beef and chicken and a potato empanada and an apple cinnamon empanada. Not too adventurous yet… but they were great! Crust is very light and flaky and flavorful, not heavy in flavor or texture, light. The filling was simply seasoned, moist and good. They heated them in a little oven (no microwave), but worth the wait. (And even the half size empanadas were huge and filling.)
Place is Colombian. Lots of other interesting empanadas and also ice creams with tropical fruits. I'm definitely returning to try out the other pastries.

The selection of empanadas is impressive - savory, sweet, big and small. They also have various Colombian desserts, coffees and fruit smoothies.
You can take the food to go, or enjoy the comfortable cafe setting.

Lunch for 2 was $41. That included tea and tips but at that cost I expected lunch to be at least the best lunch of a week. Well, it wasn't. Empanadas weren't too bad but weren't the best. Chicken empanada was way too dry. The service surprised us and not in a good way. We ordered hot tea, guava "fingers" (that's sweat) and empanadas. We got tea bags (but no hot water), then a server brought the fingers (still no water) and only after that the water arrived. Each step took at least a few minutes.

Found this cute bakery on Yelp and swung by here after lunch to grab some savory empanadas and sweet pastries to go.
We luckly beat the rush because it got super busy after we came in. Here is my take on their food.. EVERYTHING is amazing!!! If you like empanadas, you should make a point to come here.
We ended up getting a bunch of things to go. I stuck them in the fridge and they heat up perfectly in the oven when ready to be eaten. You can definitely freeze them if you want to eat them slowly. I might do that since it's a bit out of the way. Maybe not cause the family might just devour it all.
The empanada pastry is light, flaky, and is the perfect thickness to hold all the flavorful fillings. Also tried the corn patty filled with cheese.. its like a papusa but I like the Columbian version better. I only got one but next time will get a few and heat up to eat later. The guava filled finger pastry is to die for! If you're a apple turnover fan, make sure you don't miss out on the ones they sell here. We also got some guava and soursop juices to go, no boxed or canned juices here, just freshly squeezed thats so refreshing.
Staff is very friendly and explained everything for us newbies. Plentiful parking but make sure to go early since they easily sell out of some items.

Milohas offers very delicious Colombian empanadas (pastries with filling) at stupendous prices. You may choose from various sizes as well as fillings (beef, chicken, turkey, potato, mushrooms, egg & ham, fruits). The beef empanadas were absolutely mouthwatering. They also serve other delicious pastries such as flatbreads made of corn. There is a gluten-free menu for your convenience. Milohas may be located in a run-of-the-mill strip mall, but this is not your garden variety joint.
Verdict: Highly recommended.
