We really gave the waiter the run around on the kind of wine we wanted. Pinot, Willamette valley, french style and not too expensive to boot. Wow did he come up trumps. Great bottle at a reasonable price. Sad thing is I cant recall the name because I should have mentioned it here ! Food was great. Shared the cuban... More

We ate lunch here yesterday. It was early and they were out of one item we wanted. The food was just okay and the service was good. Prices were high for what we had.

Ate here the other day with two friends. It was full so we had to eat inside which was fine, though pretty deserted. I had a shrimp Louis salad that was awful: a bit of iceberg lettuce (some of which was brown), at most two shrimp cut into bite-sized pieces so it would look like more, literally one radish slice... The atmosphere is very New York, the steaks and fish perfectly done, the waiters very attentive. Sunday brunch a favorite.

This came highly recommended but I was not as happy with my food, the Tuna Salad. The flavors just didn't mesh for me. The service was very good and we enjoyed the covered patio as it was a bit quieter for visiting.

Sometimes I am dissapointed. This time really dissapointed. Two persons ordering fish dishes was happy. All others including me was indeed not happy at all. Ordering a Kobe Burger getting a sour Ceddar on the top a tastless Kobe Burger was not what I had expected. I am still upset. How is it possible to kill a meal? Yes it... More

Food was decent, lots on the menu to choose from. The duck confit hash was not hash, it was duck leg put over cold potatoes and it did not have bacon jam as indicated on the menu. I liked the Dungeness Crab Eggs Benedict as the crab cakes were a good size and the they use a basil hollandaise sauce... More

The Village California Bistro has a nice patio right on Santa Row so you can have a relaxing meal while watching the action of the area. They serve mainly American food which was all well executed with nice flavours. They have a selection of small plates, pasta, seafood and steaks. They also have a reasonably priced seasonal three course prix... More

Great food and service. We went here for dinner after traveling 18 hours and jet lagged. Wine flight was very good.

They have a yummy selection of wines, cocktails and small plates during happy hour. If you do choose to take advantage of happy make sure you tell the hostess so you're seated I the correct section.
