Met some friends here for a late night dinner.. I had the tuna and it was good ( not great)... had the butternut squash ravioli appetizer that wasn't too bad.

La Pastaia is conveniently located to many San Jose attractions. The SAP Center is close, as is the San Jose Center for Performing Arts. We dined at this restaurant prior to seeing a show at the Performing Arts Center, which is a 10 minute walk from the restaurant. There are plenty of people walking around, so even after the show,... Only a buffet is available for breakfast - and it's incomplete, not maintained during breakfast hours, etc. etc. There is a small 4 slice toaster on the table requiring one to toast ones own bread, but after two cycles, the bread was still not even beige, yet along toasted! By the time I returned to my table, the "custom cooked"... More
Enjoyable café/restaurant within walking distance to SAP. We had an early dinner/late lunch before a hockey game. The barratta with crispy kale was phenomenal ants was the salmon salad. The menu is varied and includes pastas, fishes, salads and pizzas. The service was attentive but it wasn't very crowded. There is no parking directly at the restaurant but it is... More

Perfect location for work in San Jose right in downtown - nice place - up scale without being snooty - good service and excellent food. In fact I would have given this 5 but for one crazy mistake. I ordered the grilled salmon salad - everything was perfect in fact the salmon itself was perfection but then the hot fish... More
A one night business trip. I had the caesar salad, a few of the lamb skewers and a glass of Spanish red. All items were tasty and just the right amount. Not inexpensive but not over-priced. I would eat there again.
We decided to stay downtown to attend a recent concert at SAP and waited a bit too long to make reservations at all the major restaurants so we were in a bit of a bind. Fortunately we were able to book a table at this lovely restaurant which is within the Hotel DeAnza on W. Santa Clara St. The restaurant... More
Very convenient to the Hotel De Anza, La Pastaia had great service and good food. The minestrone was very good and the meatballs were hearty. The atmosphere was quiet elegance. I had no problem getting a table.
